Keep the selected wheat by itself, and take none but the best tiie windmill will clean. Sow the largest and best grain. To every ten bushels pour on six gallons of wash, made of Jime and lye run from the ash hopper. Slack as much lime with this lye, a^ will leave it in a, liquid state use nearly one gallon per bushel if wet, keep turning the wheat until perfectly dry. This is the best mixture to prevent smut, and give strength to the straw.—.Experimental Farm Journal.
