Employment in Kansas There seems to bo a good opening for tho unemployed in "Wcstorn Missouri and Kansas. Tho Kansas City (Mo.) Journal of Commerce, says

Unless at least 5,000 more laborers and mechanics come hero by spring, the work will havo to be delayed, and prienterprise must suffer. Wo havo at this time over one hundred houses which had to be stopped last fall for want of mechanics. Buildings would havo been started last fall, but on account of the lack of mochanics were not begun.

Tho Winsted (Conn.) Herald is responsible for tho following: "A chap who was hunting in Canada some time ago, saw a fox on the opposite side of Blackberry river, and drew a bead on him. Just as he pulled the trigger a pound trout jumped out of the river, and the ball put a holo through him, and then through tho fox, and then struck a bee tree, and out- squirted a stream of strained honey as big as your finger. The remains of about 7,500 Federal soldiers have been exhumed and reburied in the National Cemetery on the Gallatin pike, 6 miles from Nashville, Tenn., up to data [sic].
