Tcacliers Association. The Indiana Tcachers Association, some ten or twelve years old, now promises a vigorous growth, and a useful existenco.

Its late annual session at Lafayette was attended by about three hundred tcachers, of whom more than one half were women of different ages. Of the.se teachers thero were almost every grade, from Presidents and Professors in our colleges, to the teachers of our common schools, so that it might be styled a great graded association. The more public, and formal exercises wore the inaugural address by the incoming President, Hon. Geo. W. The two great wants most deeply felt are more money and more teachers better qualified.

The exercises were pleasantly interspersed with geod music, and terminated by a re-union on the evening of tho third and last day of the sessions.

SMITH'S TONIC SYRUP

FOR THE CURE OF

AGUE AND FEVER,

—OR—

Oliills and. Fever.

The proprietor of this celebrated medicine justly claims for it a superiority over all remedies ever offered.to the public, for the sofc, certain, speedy and permanent cure of Ague and Pover or Chills and Fever, whether of short or long standing. He refers to the entire Western and Southwestern country to bear him testimony to tho truth of the assertion, that in no case whatever will it, fail to cure, if che'directions are strictly followed, and carried out. In a great many- cases a singla dose has been sufficient for a cure, aad whole families have been curcd by a single bottle,, with perfect restoration of the general health. It is, however, prudent, and in evory oaso more certain to cure, if its use is continued in .smaller doses for a week or two after tbe disease has been checkcd, more especially in difficult^ and long stamHng eases. Usually, this medicine will not rcquira any aid to keep tho bowels in good order should the patien t, however, requiro a cathartic medioine, after having taken three orfour doses cf tho Tonic, a single dose of BULL'S

VEGETABLE FAMILY PILLS

will be, sufficient. A,
