failed to sell my property, as desired, I again present myself at the old business of PUMP MAKING, at the old stand on Washington street, Crawfordsville, and respectfully solicit a liberal share of the public patronage.

I have on hand a large lot of the best Poplar Lumber for top stocks, the suck of which is completely surrounded by the most approved and durable timber, namely, hickory or iron wood; and am using invariably what the farmers term Bail Box. With an experience of 20 years, I know, and the farmers generally know, that the old style heavy Pump is superior to all others. All who have tried it must also agree that a Pump made so that the suck can be removed, if need be, without taking from the well the entire pump, is preferable. Others may gas and blow as they may, this community know by sad experience, that the little delicate Pump sold through the country by peddlers won't pay.

My Pumps are of too great weight to be sold in this way; and we respectfully ask those in want of something substantial to call at our shop. We will be pleased to accommodate you with anything in our line and on the most favorable terms. When you buy Pumps of me, you know where to go when you need repairs made or where you get the use of the proper tools to make your own repairs, free of charge.
