PUMP MAKING, at the old stand on Washington street, Crawfordsville, and respectfully solicit a liberal share of the public patronage.

I have on hand a large lot of the best Poplar Lumber for top stocks, the suck of which is completely surrounded by the most approved and durable timber, namely, hickory or iron wood; and am using invariably what the farmers term Bail Box. With an experience of 20 years, I know, and the farmers generally know, that the old style heavy Pump is superior to all others. All who have tried it must also agree that a Pump made so that the suck can be removed, if need be, without taking from the well the entire pump, is preferable. Others may gas and blow as they may, this community know by sad experience, that the little delicate Pump sold through the country by peddlers won't pay.
