tho best Machine in the world for Family Sewand Light Manufacturing Purposes. Price, [with llnnmcr, and beautifully ornamented,] $50.

We would ask for our Lettor A Machines, the special attention of Vest Makers and Dross Makers, and all those who want Machines for//»//* mnnHt'ucturhuj purpoirx. They embody tho principles of tho Manufacturing

Machines,

making, like

them, the interlocked stitch, and are destined to be as celebrated for

FAMILY SKWIXC

and light •nanu-

facturing purposes as our Manufacturing Machines are for manufacturing purposes in general. FAMILY SEWING MACHINES arc valuabl in proportion to the number oi thing. they can do well. See what ours can do before making a jiur-hn.-e.

There is no doubt as to the value of our Machines for manufacturing purposes, but it is only of late that the public begun to learn ihat the essential elements of a machinc best adapted to the hoavsl work, would also be tho elements to be embodied in a Family Machine. It is now well understood that our Letter A Machine is the ojlly Family Machine yet offered to the public which has »/»).- plicity, rapidity, durability, 'and certainty of correct action. Whilo as a general thing, the sewing-ma-chine people arc candid enough to acknowledge that our machines are unequalled for manufacturng purposes, they are almost sure to assert, in the ame breath, that Singer's Letter A, or Family Machines, arc not ait good «w tlicirn! This is a mere trick of the trade, and we confidently invito those interested in tho subject to examine for themselves an 1 see what our Lettor A Family Machines, with all the rcccnt improvements, are capable of doing. Whilo they will sew the most delicate material to perfection, as already stated, they aro also adaptod to iight manufacturing purposes, and this, be it remembered, cannot be said of any of the other Family Machines yet offered to the public.

The Nos. 1 and 2 Machines are of great capacity and application ."or manufacturing purposes. Our No. Machines are especially adapted to all kinds of light and heavy Leather Work, in Car riage Trimming, Boot and Shoe Making, Harness Making, etc., etc. They aro of extra size, with an arm long enough to take under it and stitch the largest sized dashes. There is scarcely any part of a Trimmer's stitching that cannot be better done with them thar by hand so, too, the saving of time and labor is very great. The table of theso machines is 24 inches long, and theshuttlewill hold six times as much thread as the shuttle of those usod for tailoring purposes. The largo machines work as fast as small ones.

AVc have always on hand, Hemming Guages, Silk Twist, Linen and'Cotton Thread on Spools, best Machine Oil in Lotties, etc., etc.

Wo manufacture our own Needles, nnd would warn all persons using our machines not to buy any others. Wc know that there arc needles sold of the most inferior quality, at higher prices than we charge for the best. The needles sold by us are manufactured especially for our -nachincs. A bad needle may render the working of the best machine almost useless.

Our customers may rest assured that all our Branch Offices are furnished with tho "genuine article."

In case of small purchases, the money may be sent in postage stamps, or bank notes. Correspondents will please write their names distinctly. It is all important that we should, in each case, know the Post Office, County nnd State.

S^.A11 persons requiring information about Sewing Machines, their sizes, prices, working capacities, and the best methods of purchasing, can obtain it by sending to us, or any of our Branch Offices for a copy of

"3. M. Singrer & Co.'s Gazette." Which is a beautiful Pictorial Paper entirely devoted to the subject.—1/ will be sent yrutis.

^3cf"Wo have made the above R.EDUCTION IN PRICES with the two-fold riew of benefiting the public and ourselves. The public have been swindled by spurious machines made in imitation of ours. The metal in them, from tho iron casting to the smallest picce, is of poor quality. Their makers have not tho means to do their work well.— They arc hid away ir sccrctplaccs, where it would bo impossible to have at their command the proper incchankal appliances. It is only by doing a great business, and having extensive manufacturing establishments, that good machines can be made at moderate prices. The best designed machines, BADLY M.MIE, aro always liablo to get out of order, and are sure to cost considerable trouble .and money to keep them in repair.

The qualities to bo looked for in a achine, are: certainty of correct action at all rates of spcod, simplicity of construction, great durability, and rapidity of operation, with tho least labor. Mach ines to combine these essential qualities, must be made of the bent meta and finished to perfection. IFe have the ways and means, on a grand scale, to do this.

Tho purchasers of Machines, whose daily bread it may concorn, will find that thoso having the above qualities not only work web at rapid as well as slow rates of speed, but last long in the finest possible working order. Our machines, as made by us, will earn more money with less labor than any others, whether in imitation of ours or not. In fact, they aro^cheaper than any other Machines as a gift _^£}"Local agents wanted.

Bear in mind that the SCANDINAVIAN VEGETABLE BLOOD PILLS are endorsed by the experience of thousands of living witnesses, who, in letters, affidavits, medical works and by word of mouth, proclaim them to be the very best preparation of the kind ever offered to the broken down victims of ill health. Fever and Ague,

from which mankind suffer over a large part of the globe, the consequence of a diseased action in the system, induced by the poisonous miasm of vegetable decay. This exhalation is evolved by the action of solar heat on wet soil, and rises with the watery vapor from it. "While the sun is below the horizon this vapor lingers near th# earth's surface, and the virus is taken with it through the lungs into the blood. There it acts as an irritating poison on the internal viscera and excreting organs of the body. The liver becomes torpid anil fails to secrete not only this virus, but also the bile from the blood. Both the virus and the bile accumulatein the circulation, and produce violent constitutional disorder. The spleen, the kidneys, and the stomach sympathize with the liver, and become disordered "also. Finally, tho instinct of our organism, ay if in an attempt to expel the noxious infusion, concentrates the whole blood of the body in the internal excrctories to force them to cast it out. The blood leaves the surface, and rushes to the central organs with congestive violence. This is the CHILL. But in this effort it fails. Then the FEVER follows, in which the blood leaves tho central organs and rushes to the surface, as if in another effort to expel the irritating poison through that other great excretory the skin. In this also it fails, and the system abandons the attempt exhausted, and waits for the recovery of strength to repeat the hopeless effort another day. These are the fits or paroxisms of FEVER AND AGUE. Such constitutional disorder will of course undermine the health if it is not removed. "We have labored to find, and have found, an antidote,

Ayer's Ague Cure,

which neutralizes this malarious poison in tho blood, and stimulates the liver to expel it from the body. As it should, so it does cure this afflicting disorder with perfect certainty. And it does more, or rather does what is of more service to those subject to this infection. If taken in season it expels it from the system as it is absorbed, and thus keeps those who use it free from its attacks keeps the system in health although exposed to the disease. Consequently it not only cures, but protects from, the great variety of affections which are induced by this malignant influence, such as Remittent Fever, Chill Fever, Dumb, or Masked Ague, Periodical Headache, or Biiious Headache, Bilious Fevers, Neuralgia, Rheumatism, Gout, Blindness, Toothache, Earache, Catarrh, Asthma,- Palpitations, Painful Affections of the Spleen, Hysterics, Colic, Paralvsis, and Painful Affections of the Stomach ancl Bowels, all of which, when arising from this cause, will be found to assume more or less the intermittent type. This AGUE CURE removes the causc of these derangements, and cures the disease.

This it accomplishes by stimulating the cxcretorics to expel the virus from the system and these organs by degrees become habited to do this their office of their own accord. Hence arises what we term acclimatation. Time may accomplish the Bame end, but often life is not long enough, or is sacrificcd in the attempt, while this AGUE CURE does it at once, and with safety. We have great reason to believe this is a surer as well as safer remedy for the whole class of diseases which are caused by the miasmatic infection, than any other which has been discovered and it has still another important advantage to the public, which is, that it is cheap as well as good.
