We have made the above PELT CTIOfc IN PltlCES with the two-fold view of ocnemuig tnc public and ourselves. The public have been swindled by spurious machines made in imitation of ours. The metal in them, from the iron casting to tho smallest piece, is of poor quality. Their makers have not the means to do their work well.— They are hid away in secret places, where it would bo impossible to have at their command the proper mechaiiieal appliances. It is only by doingagreat business, and having extensive manufacturing establishments, that good machines can be made at moderate prices. The best designed machines, li .wily made, are always liable to get out of order, and are sure to cost considerable trouble and money to keep them in repair.
The qualities to be looked for in a achine, are: certainty of correct action at al1 rates of speed, simplicity of construction, great durability, and rapidity of operation, with the least labor. Much ines to combine these essential qualities, must be made of the

This is a mere
trick of the trade, and we confidently invite those interested in the subject to examine for themselves and see what our Letter A Family Machines, wiall the recent, improvements, me capable oi' doing. While they will sew the most delicate material to
pert'eetion. ns already stated, they are also adapted fectntioiis of the Bladder and Kidneys,
to light manufacturing purpose*, and this, Vie it reniembeied, cannot be said of any of the other Family Machines yet offered to the public.
The N••?. 1 and 2 Machines are of great capacity and application for niat.ufnctitring purposes. Our No. 3 Machines are especially adapted to all kinds of light and heavy Leather Work, in Car riage Trimming, Root and r!hoe Making, Iiii.rne.-j. Miikin", etc..etc. They are of extra sire, wilh an aim long enough to take under it. and stitch the largest "sized (lashes. There is scarcely any part of a Tiimmer's Mitching that cannot be belter done with them than by hand: so. too. the saving of time nnd labor is very great. The table of the.-e machines is 21 inches long, and the shuttle will hold six times as much thread as the shuttle of those used for tailoring purposes. The huge machines work as fast .is small ones.
We have always on hand, Ifemining Guages, Silk Twil. Linen and Cotton Thread oil tpoels, best Machine Oii in Rot'-lcs, etc., etc.
Wc manufacture our own Needles, and would warn all persons using our machines not to buy any others. Wc know that there are needles sold of ih nvAt ivfrior qunlitn, at higher prices than wc charge for the best. Tho needles sold by us are manufactured especially for our machines. A bad needle may render the working of the best machine almost useless. 'if
finwht.d to perfi clion.
TFe have the ways and means, on a grand scale, to do this. Tho purchasers of Machines, whose daily bread it may concern, will find that those having the above qualities not only work well at rnjrid as well as slow rates of speed, but last long in the finest possible working order. Our machines, as made by u$, will earn more money with lent labor than any others, whether in imitation of ours or not. In fact, they are cheaper than any other Machines as a gift JS&~Loca,l agents wanted.

Ague Cure,
FOR TIIE SPEEDY CURE OF
Intermittent Fever, or Fever and Ague, Remittent Fever, Chill Fever, Dumb Asrue, Periodical Headache, cr Bilious
Headache, and Bilious Fevers, indeed for the whole class of diseases originating in biliary derangement, caused by the Malaria of miasmatic countries. No one remedy is louder cailcd for by the necessities of the American people than a sure and safe cure for Fever and Ague. Such •vvc arc now enabled to offer, with a perfect certainty that it will eradicate the disease, and with assurance, founded on proof, that no harm can arise lroni its use in any quantity.
That which protects from or prevents tills disorder ni'ist be of immense service in the communities where it prevails. Prevention ia better than cure, for the patient escapes the risk which he must run in violent attacks cf this baleful distemper. This
and" Ague
(J::re
the miasmatic poison of

from the system and prevents the development of tho disease, if taken on the first approach of its premonitory symptoms. It ia not only the best remedy ever yet discovered for this class of complaints, but also the cheapest. The large quantity we supply for a dollar brings it within the reach of every bodv and in bilious districts, where
Fever
prevails, every body should have it
and use it freely both for cure and protection. It is hoped this price will placc it within the reach of all—the poor as well as the rich.
A
great superiority of this remedy over any other ever discovered for the speedy and certain cure of Intermittcnts is, that it contains no Quinine or mineral, consequently it produces no quinism or other injurious effects whatever upon the constitution. Those cured by it are left as healthy as if they had never had the disease.
Fever and Ague is not alone the consequence of the miasmatic poison. A great variety of disorders arise from its irritation, among which are Neuralgia, Rheumatism, Gout, Headache, Blindness, Toothache, Earache, Catarrh, Asthma, Palpitation, Painful Affection of the Spleen, Hysterics, Pain in the Bowels, Colic, Paralysis, and Derangement of the Stomach, all of which, when originating in this cause, put on the intermittent type, or become periodical. This "Cure" expel3 the poison from the blood, and consequently cures them all alike. It is an invaluable protection to immigrants and persons travelling or temporarily residing in the malarious districts. If taken occasionally or daily while exposed to the infection, that will be excreted from the system, and cannot accumulate in sufficient quantity to ripen into disease. Hence it is even more valuable for protection than cure, and few will ever suffer from Intcnnittents, if they avail themselves of the protection this remedy affords.
Ayer's Cathartic Pills,
FOR ALL THE PURPOSES OF A FAMILY PHYSIO, are so composed that disease within the range of their action can rarely withstand or evade them. Their penetrating properties search, and cleanse, and invigorate every portion of the human organism, correcting its diseased action, and restoring its healthy vitalities. As a consequence of theso properties, the invalid who is bowed down with pain or physical debility is astonished to find his health or energy restored by a remedy at once so simple and inviting.
Not only do they cure the every-day complaint.? of every body, lint also many formidable and dangerous diseases. The agent below named is pleased to furnish gratis my American Almanac, containing certificates of their curcs and directions for their use in the following complaints: Costiveiicss, Heartburn, Headache arit'iir/Jrom disordered Stomach, Xrtusea, Indigestion, Pa hi in and Morbid Inaction of the Bcnre.f, Flatulency, Loss of Appetite, Jaundice, and other kindred complaints, arising from a low state of the bod}' or obstruction of its functions. They are an excellent alterative for the renovation of the blood and the restoration of tone and strength to the system debilitated by disease.
Ayer's Cherry Pectoral,

Coughs, Colds, Influenza, Hoarseness, Croup, Bronchitis, Incipient Consumption, and for the relief of Consumptive
Patients in advanced stages of the disease. Ro wide is the field of its usefulness and so numerous are the cases of its cures, that almost every section of country abounds in persons publicly'known, who have been restored from alarming and even desperate diseases of the lungs by its use. When once tried, its superiority o^er every other medicine of its kind is too apparent to escape observation, and where its virtues are known, the public no longer hesitate what antidote to employ for the distressing and dangerous affections of the pulmonary organs that arc incident to our climate. While many inferior remedies thrust upon tnc community have failed and been discarded, l'ni-3 has gained friends bv every trial, conferred benefits on the alriicted they can never forget, and produced cures too numerous and too remarkable to be forgotten.
