Dodcl, Auditor of the State of Indiana, hereby certify that I have made a personal and thorough examination of the books and assets of the Company, at their Office in the City of Hartford, Conn., and the Company own and have in their possession in cash and in securities convertible at pleasure, nearly One Million of Dollars, applicable to the payment of losses—an amount corresponding with their official statement of January last. The Hartford Fire Insurance Company lias been in existcncc for half a century.—
