Better trace back some of vour own histories, and see if the same charges which you falsely prefer against Mr. Hurley are not traceable to vonr own genealogical histories. Men who live in glass houses should be careful in making charges—charges e'en vile as hell itself.

It is true that Mr. Hurley is not a Templar

it is also true, (mark the prediction, you miserable Old Line slanderers,) that Mr. Hurley will be elected in spite of all your bitter opposition and falsehoods.

W. B. KKENKY, of the firm of COHSAX FE KEENEY, will accept our thanks for a choice piece of Beef Stealc. It was decidedly the sweetest moat we have had this Summer, and was prepared in "good order and cleanliness." FEVER AND AGUE—AN 1NFALLIBLE CURE.—We defy the world to produce any medicine which does not contain Quinine, Bark, Arsenic, Mercury or any noxious or deadly compound, to'cure this annoying disease so effectually as Carter's Spanish Mixture. While it contains none ol the abov^*named dangerous articles, yet it possssses a power in relieving snd curing Fever and Ague which cannot bo approach ed by any of them separately or in combination. •'It acts specifically on the Liver, Purifies the Blood, opens the pores of the Skin, and assists nature to expel from the system the seeds of Disease, or what is as bad, the remains of the Mineral Drugs, which clog and finally destroy the constitution.

See the cure of Mr. Longden of Virginia. He had Chills twice a day for 3 years and nothing would relieve him until lie tried Garter's Spanish Mixture, only 3 bottles of which effectually restored him to health, nor has he had a return of the disease emte. June 12-1 m.

JULIUS A. JEGER said: NEW ELIZABETH, Hendricks co., Ind., June 24, 1854.—"I should like you to send me a lot of your German Litters. I know them to, be a valuable medicine, deserving all the reputation they have acquired. I have used them in my own family, and they have proven a certain remedy for eradicating the fever and ague. The following is the result: Three persons took your "Bare," all of which were cases of'Quotidian Intermittent Fever,' of many weeks stfinding. They had tried Quinine, and other remedies, occasionally missing a chill, but it was, [as in all such cases,) slowly wearing them out, aud laying the foundation of other and severer maladies. 1 did succeed in effecting a radical cure of all three of these cases with your remedy, and they have notiiAd a chill since. In all three of these cases the "Smith's Tonic" had boon used, and would, as before stated, break the chill, but alter a period or two had elapsed it wo'd return. 1 think there will be no difficulty now in giving your "Cure" the vantage ground ofanp other remedy now in use here, &c. &c.
