ORDINANCE NO. O.
SEC. 1.—Be it ordained by the President and l^ruslecs af the Town of Crawfordsville, That it shall bo unlawful for any'Swine to run at large within the Corporate limits of said Town, on and after the fust day of October, 1855. And it shall be the duty of the Marshall of said Town to impound any swine so found at largo within said limits.
SEC. 2.—And the said Marshall upon impounding such swine, shall immediately post up notices in three public places in said town, giving notice of such impounding, and that if such swine be not claimed within ten days next ensuing, they will be sold at public-auction.
Si:c. —If prior to the expiration of said ten days after such impounding, the owner of such swine shall make satisfiictoiy proof to said Marshall of his ownership thereof, and shall pay to him the expenses incurred by reason of such impounding, such swing shall be delivered to such owner, iind said Marshall be entitled totwenufivo cents per head for each head of swine so impounded, mid ten cents per head for each day such swine shall remain impounded, as compensation for keeping the same.
Sue. 4.—If said swine shall not be so claimed within ten days, then after the expiration of that time they shall be sold at public auction at such pound for cash in hand, and after payment of all expenses incurred iu impounding such swine and keeping the same, the residue shall be paid over to the Treasurer of said Town, and the owner of such swine so sold, upon making satisfactory proof of his ownership, to the said Board of Trustees, shall be entitled to said residue in the hands of said Treasurer.

Terms of tuition the same as in the Male Department. French and Vocal Music taught without additional charge.
