Sap. 1.—Z?e' it .ordained by the President and Trustees of the Town of Craivfordsville, That it shall be unlawful for any Swine to run at large within the Corporate limits o£suid Town, on and after the first'dajs-of October, 1855. And it shall be the duty of the Marshall of said Town to impound any swine so found at .large within said limits.

SEC. 2.—And the said Marshaintpon impounding such swin.e, shall immediately post up notices in three public places in-said town, giving notice of such impounding, and that if such swine be not claimed within ten days next ensuing, they will be sold at public auction.

SEC. 3.-—If prior to the expiration of said ten days after such impounding, the owner of such swine shall make satisfactory proof to said Marshall ofhis Ownership thereof, and shall pay to him the expenses' incurred by reason-of such impounding, such swine shall be delivered to such owner, and said Marshall be entitled to twentyfive cents per head for each head of swine so impounded, and ten cents per head for each day such swine shall remain impounded, as compensation for keeping the same.

SEC. 4.—If said swine shall not be so claimed within ten days, then after the expiration of that time they shall be sold at public auction at such pound for cash in hand, and after pnyment of all expanses incurred in impounding such swine and kee.ping the same, the residue gliall be paid over to the Treasuver of said Town, and the owner of isuch swine so sold, upon making satisfactory proof ofhis ownership, to the said Board of Trustees, shall be .entitled to said residue., in. the hands of said Treasurer.
