T"¥7"E have received, opened and are daily closing out our third stock of Dry Goods, &c.. and at such prices, we care not who may say to the contrary, that cannot be excelled this side of the Eastern cities. Say what you will in reference to "defying all competition," the way to prove the matter of cheap goods, is for the people themselves, who are in want, to call at the several stores of the place and examine and learn prices. Then we say in the language of another, %Ve befy all Competition, The truth is the truth, let it come from what quarter it may and every man should pay some little attention to it.
Our stock is as large as any in the place, and •was bought as low as any man, or set of men can buy them with the cash. Wc do not think it ad-' visable to buy large stocks at one purchase, for the I purpose of boasting and bragging, us some of our merchants do, but prefer keeping back a little, that we may see the changes of styles and we are thereby frequently enabled to do better in regard I to prices. We are now, however,
Receiving Goods Daily, and shall during the summer, which we shall at all times be pleased to exhibit to our friends when they 4 may feel disposed to give us a call. We do not wish to deceive any one—we mean what we say, and all can have a chance of testing the truth of our assertions.
We shall not attempt an cnumera tion of our stock, bv any means, but merely say, you need have no fears of oiling for an article in our line thatwe have not, neither in
