CAIJI-'OHKU.—The San Fran

cisco correspondent of the Tribune furnish-. 08 it with a list of persons murdered in California in the year 1851. It is a dreadful rccord. Four hundred and fifty murders are recorded, and the writer thinks if all had been reported, it would have been .six hundred! During the year, there.were 3 fifteen convictions for murder and manslaughter—there were six executions by the

officers of the law and eighteen by Lynch law. r_~~ .it* flSrThc knowing ones and many of "the rest of mankind," now use no other 'x cough remedy than Dr. Lococlts Puliuoinic Wafers. They relieve coughs, colds,

asthma, sore throat, hoarseness and like complaints, in an astonishing short time, and will effect a permanent cure in a few days. Thousands who have used them, unite in declaring them agreeable to take,

convenient to carry, sure to cure, purely vegetable, and perfectly safe at all times for children or adults, and for public speakers -and singers they are invaluable as they at once render the voice clear and flexible.

Price 25 cents per box. iSold by medicine dealeis every where, and used by thousands
