CHERRY PECTORAL,

For the rapid Cure of

CONSUMPTION.

Jinny verrs of trial, instead of impairing the public confidence in this medicine, lias won for it cn unpreciation and notoriety by iar exceeding the most sanguine expectations of its friends. Nothing but its intrinsic virtues and the unmistakable benefit conferred on thousands of sufferers, could originate and maintain the reputation it enjoys. "\Vhiie nn.i'v inferior remedies thrust upon the ron ir.unity, have failed and been discarded. this hrs gained friends by every trial, conferred t-cr.f lit son the tfflictfd they can never for ret nr.d produced curcs too numerous .pd too remarkable to be forgotten.

W hile it is a fraud on the public, to preKndtbut any ere medicine will infallibly .urc—£-.till there is abundant proof that the CJII-KRY PKCTOEAI. dees ret does not only as a general thing, but almost invariably cure the maladies for which it is employed.

As time makes these facts wider und better •known, this medicine has gradually become the reliance of the sfilictcd, from the log-cab-in of the American Peasant, to the palaces of European Kings. Throughout this entire country, in every State, city, and indeed almost everv htm'let it contains, Cherry Pectoral is known as the best remedy extant for ••diseases of the Throat and Lungs, and in inanv foreign countries, it is coming to be rx'ensively used by their most intelligent.

Physicians. In Great Britain. France and Germany. v. here the medical sciences have reached their highest perfection, Cherry Pec'toral is introduced, and in constant use in the Armies, Hospitals, Alms Houses. Public institutions, and in domestic practice, as the f-urest remedy their attending Physicians "can employ for the more dangerous affections of the lungs. Also in milder eases, end for children it"is safe, pleasant and effectual to cure. In fact, some of the most flattering .testimonials we receive have been from parents who have found it efficacious in cases particuhsrly incidental to childhood.

The Cherry Pectoral is manufactured by a practical Chemist, and every ounce of it under his own eye, ith invariable accuracy & Care. It is sealed and protected by law from counterfeits, consequently can be relied uii as genuine without adulteration.

We have endeavored here to furnish the community with a medicine of such intrinsic. superiority and worth as should commend itself to their confidence—a remedy at once tafe, speedy and effectual, which this has by repealed and countless trials proved itself to be and trust by great care in preparing it with chemical accuracy, of uniform strength to afford Physicians a new agent on which 'they can rely for the best results, and the afflicted ith "a remedy that r. ill do for them all that medicine can do.

DEPARTMENT

OF THE

COMMERCIAL COLLEGE,

OF INDIAN ATOMS.

THIS Department, which has been closed for some time for want of room, will be re-opened at College Hall on the first Monday of November, and be continued permanently open for the reception of Ladies.

The objects aimed at in this Department are, first, to remedy the great and lamentable effects in the present system of female education, by training the mind to a more active, accurate, und practical mode of thought, and imparting that thorough knowledge of business matters as to make them more selfreliant and independent than they now are.

And, Second, to open up new and more profitable sources of employment for females who are obliged to earn a scanty subsistence by the hord'and trying labors of the needle, or the irksome and poorly paid duties of the teacher, by qualifying them for the less arduous but" more profitable dutieB of an accountant.

Terms & regulations the same in both Departments. Ladies from abroad will be furnished board in private families, who will exercise kind parental care over them during their stay.

No lady need hesitate coming, or no parent to send his daughter, through false motives of delicacy, as to interference with the Ladies on the part of the Gentlemen is never allowed.

A catalogue containing full information upon every point desired will be furnished gratis. on application to nov. 3, '53—ly. W. McK. SCOTT,

Important Arrest of Counterfeiters!

—Cau

of Villiany

tion to Business Men and the Public generally.

number of arrests have been made in the States of Indiana, Ohio, and New York, and among others, was one Andrew J. White of Buffalo, who was arrested and imprissoned on a charge fof coufit.effe?ting Perry Davis' Pain Killer. Said White was finally released from prison, by filing his bond in the penalty of $2000 for his appearance at court, soon after which it was understood he had left for California, and if it had proved true, the people in this part of the country might well have congratulated themselves on having got rid of so consumate a villian. but from recent developements it is evidenthe hasreturned and is again stealthily and secretly yet extensively engaged in the manufacture and sale of the most dangerous imitation of Davis' Pain Killer that has ever made its appearance. Indeed few persons would be able to distinguish it from Genuine, till the utter worthlessness of the article would convince them that they have been imposed upon hv a counterfeit.

Pedlars have been found carrying this miserable BOGUS and dealers had better not purchase from any who can not show satisfactory credentials of their appointment as Agents Our only travelling agent for Indiana, Eastern Illinois, and Michigan, is D. HARTER, of CrawfordsviHe, Indiana, und those who •are not supplied through him, had better order direct from our office at Cincinnati. 'J'he public are hereby cautioned against purchasing from any dealer in whose veracity they do not have the utmost confidence.—

Buy from men of respectability whose word can be relied on. and who are known to be supplied through our western office at Cincinnati.
