[O^WM. PIATT, formerly of Covington, has removed to Kentucky, and ia engaged in the manufacture of superior Chewing Tobacco. His Tobacco is popular in the Wabash alley. lie intends making a shipment to this place in September next, and our merchants will do well to examine his stock before purchasing elsewhere.

Wayne Rail-Rctad. At the late session of the Board of Directors it was ordered that letting of the road ffbm Crawfordsville to Kokomo take place o'ti thfe 20th day of October. Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Secretary for grubbing, grading, bridging,and tics, up to the above date. It wasalso ordered thatthrde per cent, of the capital stock be called for, payable rftt or before the 1st day of September, A. D. 1853, for the purpose of paying for surveys and locating the road.
