SHOWER BATH. Bcuticle

ATHING, rtB necessity and expediency from the structure and ihe functions of the skin, the is cast oil in minute powdry scales, many of which are rclained upon the surface by ihe pressure of clothing, these mingle with the oily saline products of ihe skin, and form a thin crust. This crust, on account of its adhesiveness, collects particles of dust and soot from the atmosphere, and particles of foreign matter from our dress, so that, in the course of ihe day, the whole body become, coatcd with iinpuritii s. If this coating remains it becomes thick and established upon the skin and will produce the following effects-:

First, the pores will be obstructed, consequently prespiration impeded, and the influence of the skin as an exertive entire prevented and produ ces the following disease.—Indigestion Billious ness, Accidity A sense of oppression in the pit of the Stomach Depression of the Spirit* Heaviness C.'old Hands and Feel Numbness of the Limbs, and other parts. Vertigo Nausa, Difficulty of Respiration, Stupor. Irritability, Drowsines, Debility, Extreme Languor and Exhaustion, Restlessness, istiveness, Ilead-ache, Extreme Nervous Agitation, Palpitation of the Heart an Incapacity for the slightest exercise, dull, heavy pain and sense of weight in the Head, a temporary loss of memory, a sense of Curstness, Pulse I.ss frequent and more feeble than usual, Despondency, Emaciation and extreme Debility. A film of foreign substance on the skin will inevitably become the scat of deliterous infectious vapors.— This is one reason why filthy persons contract infecti. us diseases more frequently than individuals of more cleanly habits. Bathing is useful to promote cleanliness.

This Bath which the undersigned have the right to manufacture and sell is one of the most convenient imaginable, and can be used equally well for warm or cold weather, for bathing, and on!y takes one bucket of water to supply it for any length of time. The water is poured into the lower p'irt of tin: Bath the person bathyig stands upon a platform above the water, and by a si ght movement of the body, throwing ternately from one foot to the other, the water is forced up into the sprinkler, from which it comcs down on the bather with much force, tho water passing into the pump at the fulcrum, gives great power to the d..utile noting force-pump placed under the feet of the bather, causiug the water to be shower down with any desired force indeed the bather has it in his power produce a violent shock or gentle sprinkle by his own action. One bucket of water will answer every purpose, (as one wash bowl answers to ash ones face) the same waier being thrown over the bath repeatedly in a constant current but it is so arranged that where is not de.sirablu to use the watt more than once, it can be replaced with freshwater, with very little trouble.— The--e Uatbs are warranted to be durable in ovary partieulsr. Persons desiring Baths, who live nt a di-tance can be supplied, immediately, by sending their address and twelve dollars. The strictest care wi'l bet ken in shipping Baths. Ail orders promptly attended to.
