Scottsburgr, Ii.d.. Airil 3.—Th» grand jury finished its investigation on the Marion Tyler lynohing. Six sealed indictments er? returned, but it Is not believed that any of them are against the lynchers. Hut four days were spent in the investigation, and fewer witnesses were examined than before. People generally regard the investigation as a huge farce. The detectives in the case had no confidence in the jjrand jury, and claim that certain of its members are in league with the lynchers, who all left the state to avoid testifying1. and many other important witnesses could not be found. The opinion here is that the leaders of the mob will be arrested on information prior to the trial of the damage suit ag-ainst Sheriff Gobin In the federal court at Indianapolis next month.
Regan with a Domestic Quarrel. Marion T.vIt was lynched in this city on the morning: of Dec. 24 for attempting to kill his wife and then himself at the home of his mother-in-law Nov. 3, 1898. Mrs. Tyler was formerly Laura Terrell, and fir^t married a man named Benjamin Garriott, of this city. Some time after his dtath she marrisd Marion Tyler, who was employed by the street car company. Last July they quarreled, and she left him. He made repeated efforts to have lier return, but failed.
Tyler's Crime nnd the Mob's Crime.
On Nov. 3 he made his last attempt, and failing, shot her twice and then shot himself. Mrs. Tyler recovered fully, hut it. was the middle of December before Tyler could leave his bed. All excitement had subsidesd when a masked mob visited the jail, forced Jailer Gobin to give up the keys, and taking Tyler out lynched him to a tree near the jail.

Anderson. Ind., April 3.—Mrs. Iteb-cca Price Friday tiled suit for $10,000 damagainst. Dr. A. Cox, a hypnotist, The suit, grows out of a .remarkable case and is preceded by a .$25,005 suit by her divorced husband against: the same maii. Two years ago she placed herS"1 under the treatment of the hypnotist. She says he placed her under a spell which she ha? just succeeded in shakirg oil'. This spell was so great that even though he was hundreds of miles distant he could control her every movement and desire and could draw her to him.
This, at least, is set forth also that he could inflict groat pain upon her if he so willed it. This hrought about the separation of Mr. and Mrs. Price and the suit by the husband. Now she says she awakes from her dazed condition to find she is without a home and she files the suit which Is to stand and be tried even though she might desire to withdraw It. This provision is because she is afraid she will be placed under the influence again and be directed to withdraw the litigation.
