Of course I can, in a measure, sympathize with this person for I have corns of my own, and know what it is to have 'em tromped on. This is evident from what I am saying. In couelusion let mo suggest, and I think I it is a healthy conclusion, that if the talented correspondent who has so nicely wound me up will be ireful not to continue this winding process much longer- he or she will do me a great favor, as well as himself or herself it will also be a great accommodation to my friend, the editor.

Let me say that if this winding process iu kept up for any length of time, something is going to drap, and great will be the drap thereof.

A new doctor from the southern part of the State has located in our town.

Chas. T. Lee, manager of our lumber yard, arrived here Monday morning with his wife.

The brick business house of Dr. Dingman is going up slowly. When completed it will be the best building in town.

It is not certain who will preach in the Christian church this year as J. W. Dudley has appointments that will take all his time.

Some of the dogs in our town should receive a dose of poison. They skylark around too mui.li at night besides chaseing cows that are in pasture.

Our sidewalks are entirely too wide, They should be made nar rower or else the streets shi uld be widened. Some of this work will have to be done over again. jg

Arthur Beach is proof reader in the Leader office. He is capable of running au office, but his education^ is not finished, and he will probably go to Depaif school a term and come out a preacher.
