George McCafferty visited at Dode Endicott's Saturday end Sunday. Joe and Maymie Eskew, Charlie Gaddis and Angie LaFollette were in Crawfordsville Saturday.
On last Tuesday morning, Uncle Geo. Cox fell and broke his hip. He is 88 years of age, and is in a very critical condition.
Miss Lottie JRiggins has returned home from ^Areola, Illinois, where she has been engaged in the millinery business.

Chas. Jones is working in the meat shop. Lora McClaine .^has a new barber chair.
H. M. Coulter was on our streets Monday. Master^ Ray Nelson is able to be up and aroundfagain.
Servies has sold his interest in the meat shop to Beaver. There will be a Xmas tree in the Red Men's hall Xmas Eve.
E M. Servies and wife will spend Xmas in Terre Haute. Dan Spangler, of Carroll county, is visiting at Wm. Ross's.
O. W. Servies Jand wife, will spend Christmas in Advance. John Caldwell has a street lamp in front of his livery barn.
W. W. Yager went to Indianapolis last Monday on business. The blacksmiths are kept busy shoeing horses during the slick time.
Lem Heath, [of New Rose, is working for Loa Shelley thia week.
Mrs. Stella Smith, of Roachdale, visited her folks over Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Gaugh, of Hammond, are visiting at L. J. Nelson's.
Lon Russell and Miss Lula Angle were married Saturday night. Geo. Sbelley shelled corn for Mahonev Dean, one day last week.

Mrs. Kennedy, of Chicago, has been visiting L. E. Boyd, the past week. She started home Tuesday.

There will be a grand fox drive in this vicinity on Dec. 28th. There are lota of foxes and it is desired that everybody come, but leave the guns and dogs at home. The lines center on the farm of Daniel Vancleave, one and one-h ilf miles south-west of New Market.

Wallace Mitchell came .ip and paid his fine for disturbing the peace at an entertainment at Center school house.
