The Waynetown elevator people are doing business on a large scale. You wonder how? They do it on a Howe scale hich is large enough to weigh team, wagon and all.
On Thanksgiving day a bountiful feast was spread at the residence of Mrs. Nan Brant, in honor of her two sons, Chas. M. Berry and John Brant, of the Veedersburg News, who in due season made their appearence and at the noon hour proceeded to clean up things, and while the mother was filled with the memories of the long ago, Chas. and John were filled with the necessaries of life, which was no small amount, also reminding them of their youthful days. "A friend in need is a friend indeed," said one of our citizens who was recently coon hunting. After having climbed a large tree one of bis climbers came lose and dropped to the ground. He put up for the night high but not dry, leavtwo dogs to mourn his assension and a loving wife to eat breakfast alone. That night the home was a "lard rendering" scene to behold, as they had killed hogs the day before, Even the green wood sobbed and shed tears in the stove. The tree will ever be teraembered not only aa the tree of life, but as the tree of high life during one long night in the rain.

Of all the hunters Chas, Goodbar certainly beats them all. Tuesday morning he got up before daylight and concluded he would go out and Bee it he could get some wild game. He hitched up and drove down west about 7 or 8 miles and Btopped. He went into the fields to kill what might get up in front of him. He took a good supply of shells and shot no less than 500 times at rabbits and quails. He secured one solitary little quail, but lost his dog "Shep." The next time Charles goes hunting I think it would be best to get some shells that have shot|in them and not let Graybill take the shot out.
