Something Different-

The average trip to the sea shore or northern resorts is much like all other summer trips in many particulars, but a trip to tht south in the heated season in search of a (ool place is something different altogether. Different in its lack of hot noon-days [they don't have sun strokes in the south]. Differeet in that it is comparatively inexpensive. Different in the absence of perspiring crowds of humanity everywhere about oae. Different in altitude—you can go up thousands instead of hundreds of feet above sea-level and get the bracing air which brings you home again invigorated. 68.00 is the round trip rate for a de lightful trip to that famous southern mountain resort—Apheville, the center of what is known as "The Land of the Sky." This via the Queen & Crescent Route and the Southern R'y from Cincinnati, Saturday, August 7th. Tickets at this rate are good 10 days to return.

Sixteen hours ride through the

Blue

Grass, across High Bridge, down th* Emory and through the mountains of East Tennessee to the French Broad river and for some 40 miles along that beautiful mountain stream. TheAsheville altitude is 2,500 feet, with protect ing peaks double that height, giving that peculiar beauty and dryness for which it is noted throughout the world. Sunshine for 300 days a year. Perfect hotel service. The most elaborate private residence and domain in America, at Biltmore. Scenery unsurpassed and on a scale of actual grandeur.

Write to us for books describing Asheville, will send them free. W. C. RINKARSON, I

Brother Ciesel stated that he is in good health and so is hie family, and that he was able to do the work and that he had abandoned his work for Becular reasons. The Bishop made some remarks'stating that no presiding elder had a right to excuse a minister from his work anil no minister has a right to ask for an excuse. If a person abandons his work he must report to conference and be tried."

Mule Shot.

A chain to a log wagon used on one of the Walter Bros.' teams while coming down the long hill north-west of the iron bridge on Tuesday broke, forcing the heavy load onto one of the mules drawing it breaking its leg9. It was soon afterwards shot to end its sufferings. One would think from the steepness of that roadway that the drawing of heavy loads at any time would be hazardous.
