Dennis McCarty, a Crawfordsville barber took a header from his wheel near Snyder's mill Sunday which he will probably remember for a few days.
Among Crawfordsville people here on Tuesday evening were Tom Nolan, Taylor Thompson and family, Wm. Hulet, Mies Clem Birch, G. W. Wasson and many others.
Buck Yount has made several improvements to the interior of his fctore room and added a portico to the front, and some people are mean enough to insinuate that ho aspires to be post master.
On Tuesday Miss May Ilirst reached the 12th anniversary of her birth and invited about 20 of her friends to help celebrate the event in the afternoon, All made merry with games and refreshments.
The first section of the commencement exercises of the schools of this township occurred here last Tuesday evening, The judges awarded first place to Miss Grace Sweeney and second to Nettie Picket. Those two will contest with tho two highest of second section, the one making tho highe.-t will represent the township in the county contest. Following is the pro-1 gramme:
