REPUBLICAN COUNTY TICKET-
Many Called, But Few Were Ohosen
at Saturday's Convention. The long advertised republican county nominating convention came off according to program on Saturday last. The weather was fine, the candidates num* erous and the attendance large. At 1:00 o'clock the balloting for candidates commenced and was concluded about 4 o'clock. Many of the candidates were '•not in it" from tbo start, while the clogenesB of the vote between some of them made the contest quite exciting. Many republicans assert that the 3-B republican ring was completely routed, that few or nono of the men they desired nominated were in it at all. It is understood that Brush for Judge, Brothers for SheritY and Warbritton for Recorder, were all ring favorites, but all of them fell in the general slaughter. The following is tbo ticket nominated: 1' or Judge of the Circuit Court—Melville \V. Bruner.
For Prosecuting Attorney—Dumont Kennedy. For Representative—Edward T. McCrea.
For Clerk—Rankin C. Walk up. For Treasurer—William Johnson. For Recorder—William H. Webster. For Sheriff—R. C. Harper. For Coroner—Paul J. Barcus. For Surveyor—Harvey E. Wynekoop. For Assessor—Henry M. Billingsley. For Commissioner, 2d District—Henry W. Harding.
For Commissioner. 3d District—Albert T. Hornbaker.

Dying by the Wnyslde.
The Cincinnati Tribune's special reports that Miss Eva Lucas, residing near Pine Village, some distance from Williamsport, Ind., was found by the roadside early in the morning badly bruised, with one leg almost torn from the socket, and with internal injuries which proved fatal witbin three hours. She was barely conscious and labored under the belief that she had been struck by a train, although there wore no railway tracks within two miles. During the coronial inquiry Henry IligginB voluntarily cleared up the mystery by stating that while they were driving both he and Miss Lucas drank to excess, and that Miss Lucas fell out of the buggy, and her clothing on the wheels, she was dragged to her death. He has a dim recollection that he, himself, also fell out, for he found himself wandering about in that vicinity bruised and bleedirg. The buggy bore out the statement in its blood-bespattered condition. Tho horse kicked himself loose and, at last accounts had not been found.

?our Physical Uondition
Needs attention at this time. If you are tired, weak and nervous, it is clear that your blood is impure, and without doubt there has been too much overwork or strain on brain and body. The course of treatment foreuciia Conditlori is plain and simple. The blood must first be purified so that the nervous system and in fact all the organs will be fed upon pure blood. Intelligent people without number have testified that the best blood purifier, nerve tonic and strength imparting medicine is Hood's Sarsaparilla. Nervousness, loss of sleep and general debility all vanish when Hood's Sarsaparilla is persistently taken in a word, health and happiness follow after taking Hood's Sarsaparilla.
