Jcii. Wallace's Indianapolis IJnildiiiB. The building and renting of the Blacherne flat on north Meridian street, Indianapolis.has proven a good investment to Gon. Wallace, and he has determined to enlarge it by another building, concerning which tho Sentinel of that city says:
Gen. Lew Wallace has about compled the plan for anew building seven stories in height to be added to tho west end of the Blacherne, at the corner of Vermont and Meridian-sts. The present building covers two*thirds of the lot owned by Gen. Wallace and the new structure will occupy the remaining onethird of the lot. It will be'of the same material aDtlSsfek23the^Jacherne, of. which it will be a part and will be exactly the same architecture.
It will have a western corner rounded and decorated similar to the southeast corner of tho building, and when completed the Blacherne will present a uniform front, both front a western and eastern view. Vigorous (.'nuvn** Against Saloon*. A vigorous light waB waged throughout Warren county wherever there was an applicant for a liquor license to be heard at the December term of the commissioners' court, and in each of the townships both a general and a special remonstrance was circulated. This vras deemed necessary in view of Judge Rabb's recent decision. In Williamsport, and at West Lebanon and State Line City, each applicant has remonstrances tiled against him, signed by a majority of the voters. It is the plan of the applicants to get its many to withdraw their names aB possible then, in tho case of an adverse decision, to appeal to the Circuit Court, and if necessary to the Supreme Court. In Attica the applicants in the first and third warals' were beaten by small majorities.
