Chawloy had a very ugly looking revolver taken from him Mayor Bandel which ho was compelled to have taken to his homo ill Malachi Scott's hack.

A young man named Kinsey who came here last weok in tho employ of some carpet cleaners and who boarded at a house on Market street, got himself into difficulty soon after his arrival' by stealing a watch at Thompson's second hand store. When arrested he told where tho watch was and it was soon after recovered. Kinsey has a brother engaged in tho hardware trade at Mexico, Miami county, and ho may aim to assist him out of his troubles. He will probably bo indicted by the grand jury for the theft at its piosent session.

Iho Lourt, in a lengthy opinion, held that the evidence introduced was all admissible under the rules of evidence and overruled the various objections raised oy the defendant's attorneys. ihere was a great crowd in tho court room when the decision was given, Ilinshaw will be sentenced to tho State's prison for life later in the day. An appeal will bo taken to the Supreme, Court.
