Not so (ienern!. The closing movement was not so generally observed last Suuday as was the one the week previous. Several meat markets were opened, two or •hree drug stores, milk men went on their usual rounds, and newspapers were sold on the streets. Xo one has yet been prosecuted for doing business on Sunday nor ii he likely to be. The "Citizens' League" and Mayor Liandel both have carded the papers each delining the'r position on the Sunday closing business, and each criticising the other for omission of duty. The whole, business has become a farce and has! done the city more harm than good.

It is said that the remonstrance in tho Second ward is meeting with almost equal success. This remonstrance was placed at the entrance of the Presbyterian church yesterday, and the reverend pastor of the church urged the members to sign it as they passed out. The remonstrances are the absorbing topic, and the prediction is made that there will not be a saloon in rat:kfo-t in twelve months from now if the Nicholson law is not overthrown, a nil if the Civic Federation continues ir exibtence. --p.

the family troubles of Courtney and wife, of Waynetown, are to come up again at the ensuing term of court. This couple have been divorced and re-! married three times. With this knowledge before it the court will probably tolerate their foolishuess and baby play no longer. They should be absolutely refused a divorce and forced to live together, or if not that prevented from re-marrying. Their quarrels and,, wrangles have become disgusting to the people of the neighborhood in which they live, and the public at large have heard enough of them.'

Vacation Time
Is at hand and is gladly welcomed by all especially those whose duties in life have caused them to greatly aun down their system to meet the requirements, physical and mental, forced upon them. With these and others, it is important, whether at home, at the seashore or in the country, that some thought be given to diet, and as further assistance to X'ature, a good building-up medicine like Hood's Sarsaparilla had best be resorted to. If the digestion is poor, liver deranged and frequent headaches seem to be the rule. Hood's will change all this and enable everyone to return their home and business in a refreshed state of mind and bodily health.
