•Jeff Scoring, brother of Perry and iv.I Seering of this place, and who formerly resided here committed suicide Monday night at Lebanon, by taking morphine. He had bei,n engaged in the saloon business at Lebanon and took to drinking. His wife left him and he grew despondent finally taking his own life.

Returning home Monday evening ho asked for supper and while waiting remarked that he would not be living at that time next day. As he sat down to his supper he took a large dose of morphine and before he finished the meal the poison took effect.
