Mississippi and Texas took trains to-day for Savannah, when on March 9 they will embark for Africa. They are transported by the African Migration society, to whom each of them was paid $41 on installments. which defrays all expenses of the trip. Six thousand negroes are now paying their fares in advance in this way. The negroes who arrived yesterday are mostly farmers, though there are carpenters, blacksmiths, and other craftsmen. One-half are women and children. Though these negroes met yesterday for the tirst time they have already agreed to settle in Africa together and form a colony by themselves
