The council committee appointed to look into the matter of providing anew school building made an adverse report to the special meeting culled for that purpose on Monday evening. The fourth juarterly convention of the county Sunday school union, held at Center church on Monday, although fairly well attended, was somewhat of a disappointment. The weather was inclement and the enforced absence of Mr. Meigs on account of sickneFsgreatlv detracted from the day's interest. An elegant dinner was served in the base ment of the church by the ladies of the various city churches.
The Rig Four Railway Company has compromised the claims of Miss Mildred Wood, Josie VanHuskirk and Airs. Welch, wtio were Rtruck by a train ou one of the street crossings at Greencastle.
