Last Friday ended the six' months term of school at Oakland. A dinner was spread in honor of the teacher, after which the friends were entertained with a few speeches. The teacher, Miss Isophene Alston, made a few remarks and presented a few nice presents, after which L. W. Olin was called upon to present the teacher with a nice gold pen and holder.
