City Officials.

EDITOR "RF.VIKW: ln the fierce struggle by the various aspirants for city offices, would it not be well for tho tax-payers, as well as others interested iu preserving the dignity and efficiency of the city government. to consider the question of qualification as being equally worthy of consideiation with loyalty to party organization?

By sec. :5,0lW, et. seq., rev. stat., 1881, it appears that macy of the duties of Mayor of a city are judicial, and their proper performance involves a knowledge of the State and municipal laws.
