The party at Frank llerron's Thursday evening was an enjoyable entertainment.
The larger boys of Ividge Farm school amused themselves much playing shiuny until the teacher objacted.
Misses Flossi Jordan, Lizzie Bales, Mary and Zora Hall, spout Sunday with Misses Eva and Alice Hendricks.
Austin Bruner says the streets of Fruits are fine for bicycle riding. He spent Sunday at that kind of amusement.
The Teacher's* Institute held at the academv last Saturday was a decided success and would have been bettor but the full corps of teachers was not present.

Rev. George Grubbs preached at the Bunker Hill school house Sunday evening.
The revival meeting at the U. B. church has closed with twenty-two additions.,^

There was no preaching at the Meth odist church laBt Sunday on account of the pastor holding protracted meeting at Roberts' Chapel.
The literary society at the Willis school house will meet next Friday night week, and the question for debate will be: "Resolved, that the Bible is not the inspired word of God." Affirmative, Messry. P. S. Buck and Foster negative, Mr. Vanscoyoc and Frank Hole.
George Conrad, after the misfortune of being burned out and having every thing destroyed, even wearing apparel, and leaving him and his family destitute, will not build again until spring. In tho meantime the neighbors are assisting in almost every way. This is a misfortune that touches the sympathy of the people and most willingly are they responding.

J.H.Bowman of Cleves, Ohio, was home a few hours last week. He came on a freight at 10 a. m„ and left at 1:20 p. next day, via Lafayotte.

While returning from Waynetown last Thursday the horse driven by Simon Lynch and B. F. Vaughn became frightened and ran away. Luckily tho lines became lapped around tho hub aud brought him to a stand still before any damage was done.
