Cures Others
"Will euro You, is a true statement of the action of AYEIi'S Sarsaparilla, wliea taken for diseases originating in impur* blood but, while this assertion is true of AYER'S Sarsaparilla, as thousands can attest, it cannot bo truthfully applied to other preparations, which unprincipled dealers will recommend, and try to impose upon you, as "just as good as Ayer's." Take Ayer's Sarsaparilla and Ayer's only, if you need a blood-purifier and would bo benefited permanently. This medicine, for nearly iifty years, lia3 enjoyed a reputation, and made a record for cures, that has never been equaled by other preparations. AYER'S Sarsaparilla eradicates the taint of hereditary scrofula and other blood diseases from the system, and it has, deservedly, tho confidence of the people.
Sarsaparilla
"I cannot forbear to express my joy at the relief I have obtained from the uso of AYER'S Sarsaparilla. 1 was afflicted with kidney troubles for about six months, suffering greatly with pains in the small of my back. In addition to this, my body was covered with pimply eruptions. Tho remedies prescribed failed to help me. I then began to take AYER'S Sarsaparilla, and, in a short time, tho paius ceased and the pimples disappeared. I advise every young man or woman, in case of sickness resulting from impure blood, no matter how long standing tho ease may be, to take AYER'S Sarsaparilla."—II. L. Jarmann, 33 William St., New York City.

Some of our church people are complaining of the disorderly conduct of some boys who congregate near the church during night services and annoy the preacher and congregation by their profanity and loud talk. Gentlemen you have tho law for protection. File your complaints with the justic or have them arrested on the spot. The more you put up with disorderly conduct in or about the church, the more you will be annoyed. Complaints have been lodged against some of the girls too for laughing, talking and giggling in time of service. There is a pretty fair showing for these cases to be presented to the grand jury. If you cannot deport yourselves as gentlemen and ladies stay away from church and save trouble and disgrace.—Darlington Echo,

Wot This Time,
"Conductor Caskie, of the Vandalia, tells a good story on a Crawfordsville man, who regularly for eeveral months visited Frankfort once a week, and sometimes two or three times. The fellow, it seems, never had time to buy a ticket, but paid on the train, and each tiniethe conductor would inquire "where to?" Finally the Frankfort yisitor got the notion in his head that Caskie ought to know his destination and the next trip that he made when the conductor inquired "where to," the pa3Benger straightened himself out and replied: "Yes it, I should think by this time that you would know where I was going and not ask that fool question "where to?" The conductor asked him not to disarrange his clothes and to keep still, and by way of explanation told him that he had been asking the question "where to" through force of habit as much as anything else, When the train reached this city the fellow disappeared and for five or six weeks Conductor Caskie missed him on his regular trips. One morning, however, as the train pulled into Crawfordsville he saw his passenger standing on the platform in company with a gentleman with a stern cast of countenance and a dignified air. "All aboard" called, tbe twain moved toward the steps, one wearing a serious look, and his companion one of command. They made their way through the aisle and took a seat middleway of the coach. The big man of the bellcord and punch gave the "high sign," and as the wheelB fanned the ties in tbe v'cinity of the village with the big name —historic little Garfield—Caskie on his trip through the train had stopped at tho seat of his new passengers, "Tickets," he inquired, and the man with the stern countenance drew fort his wallet and Baid he'd pay for two, while his seat mate looked gloomilv out of the window and spoke not a word. There was a sly twinkle in the conductor^ eyes aB he glanced at the glistening bracelets that encircled the wrists of the man who had rebuked him for saying "where to," and he softly aBked "Frankfort?" A sickly smilo overspread the face of the man of gloom, he moved uneasily in his seat, the chains rattled on the handcuffs, and the sheriff of Montgomery county who was footing tho bill sung out. "No, we go to Michigan City."

PANIC ON A BRIDGE.
*"en Thousand People Watch the Search for a Suicide's Kemalns. PAUL, Minn., May 22.Ten thousand people gathered on the high bridge on South Avenue and on tho bluffs on both sides of the Mississippi to watch the search for the remains of Charles S. Rogers, President of the St. Paul Cpr.dag-e Company, -yvho jumped 200 feet into the river on Friday. For two hours fifty or sixty boats, well manned, dragged the river all the way from the high bridge to Raspberry Island. Every (method failing1, cannon were brought forth and fired over the water, and later dozens of dynamite cartridges were exploded in tho water. The booming of the cartridges and cannon and the splashing of the water as it was thrown forty to fifty feet high caused the crowd t© increase to enormous proportions.
Finally somebody shouted, "They've got him," whereupon the great crowd npon the bridge surged to the east side, almost throwing the bridge off its piers. Instantly there was a panic caused by the swaying of the bridge and the hundreds of people upon the structure hurried to dry land with the greatest possible speed. A good many people were bruised, but nobody was seriously hurt.

him to treat ailments in a highly successful manner, after discovering the nature of the same. "Diamond Dick" ought not bo classed with so-called specialists, of the irresponsible and gypsy character, for he is far removed from such preying charlatans, and thorughly abhors creatures of that class who impose upon the credulity of the afllicted. People who are afilicted should call on the doctor during the remaining days of his stay in the city. All will be cordially welcomed consultations aro free and charges for professional services are quite within the reach of people possessed of limited means. All chronic cases can be treated in such a manner as to afford relief in a short time—alwaya provided that the ailment is susceptible to treatment. Tho doctor will not hold out promises of cure, where the nature of the disease will not warrant the same, and tho patients can rely upon honorable consideration at his hands.—Lafayette Times.
