A CARD.
It is now about six years since Dr. E. Uuntsinger of Frankfort, Ind., began making regular visits to Crawfordsville, during which time he hau treated hundreds of cases and performed scores of surgical operations for cataracts, cross eyes, closure of the te&r ducts, etc., with a Bucceas that commends him to the aonfidence of this entire community.
SPECTACLES: Special attention to fitting spectacles and eye glasses for which purpose the doctor has one of the laoet elaborate and complete set of perfecting testing appliances in the west. HTE STRAIN: Which requires glasses to be correct is ono of the most [common oauses of weak painful vision and of headache. It produces more' headache various kinds, especially sick and nerVOUB headache than all other causes ombined. It is also a very common cause of weak, watery, sensitive, painful, smarting, heaviness and aching in, over back or arouid the eyeB. When reading letters blue and run together.
These symptoms usually disappear when reading or close work is laid aside, but return again as often as either is re Mimed. These cases call for the highest skill in determining the kind and strength of glasses]to prescribe.

The Horae Show.
The season and rain of Friday interfered very much with the horse •how the succeeding day. Many owners of horses concluded that the condition of the weather would prevent a display and therefore remained away and kept their stock at home. However, the horeeB exhibited, generally speaking in the parade of Saturday, were fine ap pearing animals and showed the result of careful breeding and training.

The managers of the horse Bhow seem unfortunate in the selection of the time for their exhibition. Bad weather has interfered at previous shows. Let them next year try some Saturday in May. Good weather will bring out large crowds of people, and May is generally much more favorable than April.
Not of Age.
The Journal of this city aver ready to seek a little political capital for its party, and with the aim to injure Congressman Brookshire, has stated that he recommended the appointment of Miss Sweeney as post mistress at Yountsviiie, and then afterwards withdrew it in favor of Carlton Snyder. This is not true. Miss Sweeney was not recommended, but her name was pimply considered in connection with the office, and to a reporter in Washington City Brookshire Btated that he would probably favor her for the place. Subsequently it was ascertained that Miss Sweeney was not of tho legal age (21 years) to transact official business, and Mr. Snyder was selected. These are the facts. It may be a great undertaking with it, but the Journal should give the truth, not fiction, in speaking of the matter.
For the Defendant.
The great case of Martha J. Hedge against J. E. Talbot, administrator of the estate of Isabella Durham, ended in the circut court Saturday. It was a suit on a note for $100 and in a previous trial the plaintiff got judgment but the Supreme Court reversed tho decision. On the trial yosterday tho jury found for tho defendant. It was the theory of the defense that no consideration had been given for the note.
"The Drummer Boy."
On next Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings tho military drama, "The Drutnmor Boy" will be given at Music Hall. This is tho greatest play ever brought out in this country.
