and

Immorality.

ED. RKVIRW: Not long since the attention of the writer was called to thb prevalence of prostitution and immorality that prevails to an alarming extent in this city not only among the

viciouB

and the

vile,

but among those who are young, in years and are supposed to bo innocent and pure. Girls and boyB in their teens are suffering with venerial diseases that are already making their young lives a burden, and which in the end is destined to ontail early decay and premature death upon those who are to come after thom. V/ -,•( _-v

Somo phosicians are making more money out of that kind of practice than any other, because they can extort large fees for a small service, and besides our present law with regard to such diseases is so worded, that, that they are protected in their nefareous work, and the guilty parties go unwhipped of justice and unrebuked by the public.

What we desire is, that there be a law passed so as to put a stop to this corruption by exposing the guilty parties.

To do that, let the law require of every physician, that he report all cases of that kind to the board of health of his county, together with tho name, age, nationality, color, nature and kind of disease, and whether it is of a mild or aggravated form, together with such other

factB

as the wisdom of med

ical science may suggest, and that the factB pertaining to every case be filed with some county official within ten days from the time the physi cian takes charge of the case, and upon failure to do so that he be fined in a sum not less than $100, and sent to the states' prison for dot less than one year, to which may be added five times the above penalty, at the discretion of any court having jurisdiction.

That said county official, shall keep an indexed record in which all cases shall be recorded and kept in a convenient place where it can be consulted by all persons who may desire to do so.

It may be that some quack doctors would oppose such a law, because it might interfere with their special practice, if that clause of the law pertaining to secrecy was [removed, but it would put a stop to much of such wickedness, because all persons contaminated with such diseases might be known to the public, and much of this misery and wretchedness that is visited upon posterity flight be avoided.

Whether that be true or not, one thing is certain, that such diseases are prevailing to an alarming extent, especially among the young, who are frail in body and tender in years, and if for fear of exposure some might not be cured, there certainly would not be so many afflicted with scrofula and other loathsome diseases, and besides it would be better for generations yet unborn, if they die early, with the poison in their own veins before this dark and damnable river of polution overflows the world at large. OBSERVER.

A Schedule of fiateB.

Connected Wicta. the Greau Paper, the Albany Express,

Makes Statements Which the People Should Know and Understand.

They Will Interest Not Only the Newspaper Fraternity but Everybody. The popular and well-known Thomas A. Lindsay, who is connected with Albany's (N. F.) leading morning paper, the Albany Express, makes an interesting revelation.

Everybody connected with the newspaper has known of the facts for some time, and can vouch for their truth in •very particular. "For many years," said Mr. Lindsay, I have been subject to severe spells of headache and nervousness, at times almost enough to drive a man to insanity from pain, loss of sleep, etc.

Medicines, narcotics, patent and prescribed, did not give relief, and the ailment increased continually. Having read in the Albany Morning Express, at different times, the advertisements of Dr. Greene's Nervura blood and nerve remedy, I concluded to try thiB remedy, md after the use of six or seven bottles, found not only relief, but almost a radical cure. "The headaches are a thing of the past, while the terrible nervous spells have gradually become less and less until now I have little or none of them left and my sleep is natural and refreshing. "I do not hesitate in saying that this remarkable change is entirely due to Dr. Greene's Nervura bleod and nerve remedy, and I heartily reccommend it for ailments like my own, no matter the cause of them."

It is a fact that our great business and professional men are fast finding out the wonderful invigorating and strength-giving powers of this most valuable discovery, Dr. Greene's Nervura blood and nerve remedy. It is the medicine for the weak and nervous. It restores health to the sick.

Its remarkable cure of Mr. Lindsay, after everything else had failed, makes another conspicuous person, restored to health by its use, to add to the long and constantly increasing list of prominent and well-known people who are almost daily publishing in the papers state ments of theirenresby that grand medi cine. 1} is beyond all quostion the greatest ourer of disease known at the present day, and is the very best spring medicine for blood and nerves. Everybody needs a spring medicine, and this is just the remedy to tako. It is purely vegetable and harmless, and is sold by drue gists for $1.

This great remedy is the discovery and prescription of the famous physician, Dr. Greene, of 35, W. 14th Street) New York, who is the most successful Specialist in curing nervous and chronic diseases in this country. We would add that the doctor can be consulted free personally by letter.

"Golden Medical Discovery" cures those diseases which come from blood impurities—scrofula and skin diseases, sores and swellings.

But does it? It's put up by the thousands of gallons, and sold to hundreds of thousands. Can it cur* as well as though it had been compounded juBt for you?

Its makers say that thousands n? people who have had tetter and salt-rheum, eczema and erysipelas, carbuncles and soro eyes," thick neck and enlarged glands, are well to-day becase they used it.
