The Wabash foot ball team was again defeated. This time it was by DePauw team. It is possible the Wabash team might make a good showing in a game of hat ball or mumbly peg, but foot bail is out of its class undoubtedly.
Calvin Heath is lying at the point of death. He has been a sufferer for many years and is now prostrated from the effects of a tumor upon his side and hip which has sluffed during the last few days leaving largo holes. Gangreen is setting in and all hope of recovery is lost.—Waynetown Hornet.
Two of our citizens propose to drill for gas on the John Jackman property or near there. Tho lead is a good one and if old established signs do not fail gas will bo found. The vein has been traced by experts from Kempton, and trends west to north-west of Crawfordsville .'J to 4% miles.—Darlington Echo.

Prof. A. N. Higgins, who has been at Denver, Col., for some months for his health, returned home on Friday of last week, looking improved in health.
