washout on the Monon Saturday night caused the lay over of some glass workers from Marion for Louisville.

Wheat of this neighborhood is all in the shock. Many of our farmers claim to have good wheat. Howard O'Neal claimB to have broken the record by cutting twenty acres last Friday with one machine.
Insist on your neighbor subscribing for the REVIEW, the true democratic newspaper of the county, founded on sound democratic principles and aloof from all covetous mugwumpism, a paper which should be taken by all true democrats.
Last Friday Mrs. Wm. Yount and Miss Fronia Keller drove up to the gate of Joseph Jopping's barn-yard. Mrs. Yount left Miss Keller to care for the horse while gone the horse whirled round upturned the buggy and dragged it down the bluff near by. The buggy was badly demolished but fortunately no one was hurt.

Dropped Dead.
Word was brought to Mi6s Jennie Cade this morning that her mother, Mrs. Mary Ann Savage, had dropped dead at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mai shall Cade, near Sugar Grove. Mrs. Savage spent the Fourth at Meharry's Grove and was never in better health. ShemetW-E. Gebliart, of Gebhart's Bazaar and told him to tell Jennie that she would be home to-day. But how sadly mistaken was she, for shortly after 8 o'clock while busy gettin ready to leave she suddenly complained of a pain in her arm. She lay down on a sofa and in a few minutes expired. Rheumatism of the heart was the cause. Mrs. Savage was 75 years olcl, one of the oldest settlers of Indiana and a most worthy old lady.—Journal, 5th.

A love sick young fool, Donaldson by name, fell desperately in lovewith Grace Robb of this city, who is sojourning with her sistor Mrs. Harry Krug, at St. Joseph, Michigan, last week. So intense was his affection seemingly that on seeing the young lady talking to Bome other youngj man, his anger and jealousy knew no bounds. After a quarrel with his inamoreta he drew a revolver and shot himself, and although not dying from the wound it is thought he will.
Dan Eice Wants to Bet on It. Col. Dan Rice, the veteran showman, is an enthusiastic supporter of the claims of Grover Cleveland to the democratic nomination for President. The morning papers quote him saying. "I've got 3,500 acres of prime land in Purdy county, Tennessee, and it is worth feioO,OOO.^ril bet that land against $100,000 in cash that Cleavelaud, if nominated, will [earryjthe state of New York and bo elected President.''

Refreshing Retreats.
Summer days are fast approaching and now is the time that excursionists, pleasure-seekers and sportsmen should figure out a route for their summer vacation. In doing so, the delightfully cool summer and fishing resorts located along the Wisconsin Central Lines come vividly to view, among which are Fox Lake, 111., Lake Villa, 111., Mukwonago, Waukesha, Ceder Lake, Neenah, Waupaca, Fifield, Butternut and Ashland, Wis. Wisconsin has within the last live years become the center of attraction for more pleasure seekers, hunters and fishermen than any other state in the union, and each visit increases the desire to again see the charming landscapes, breathe the balsam fragrance that is a part of the invigorating atmosDhere, wander through the colonnades of stately pines and hook the speckled beauties with a hand made fiy.
For pamphlets containing valuable information, etc-, apply to D. W. Janowitz, T. P. A., or Jas. C. Pond, General Passenger and Ticket Agent, Chicago, 111. Indianapolis, lnd. tf.
