PARNELL MOURXFJ).
Thous-.nds of Irishmen Will to:id His Funeral.
A.t-
THE PROC.iAM ME SO FAR AS ARRANGED
There Will No Demonstration in London—Dublin Helng Attired In Kmbleins of »riof—Fear of Trouble sit the Funeral.
MltS. 1\\ KN10LL PKOSTIiATED. BMOHTON. Oct. 10.—After the postmortem on the body of Parnell was made the official report giving the exact cause of cieath was finally handed to Registrar Spearing. He received it a lew minutes before noon Friday and nt once went to Walsingham Terrace to get Mrs. l-'arnell to sign the registrati£/i of death, lie was told the afflieted woman was positively unable to sec him and he could only obtain the promise that if he called at o'clock she would sign the certificate, it able. As the body could not leave Brighton without the registration Spearing called again at 5 o'clock. He was taken to a bedroom so darkened he could hardly find his way to a seat, lie was obliged to ask Miss O'Shea to open the shutters in order to have light to make the signature. As the warm sunlight lit up the hushed chamber Spearing saw Mrs.
Parnell prostrate in the bed. Her haggard face was as white as the sheets which covered her. She. was not able to sit up long enough to even attend the brief business of signing. Spearing gave her the register, and. raising herself with the assistance of her daughter, the widow wrote in nervousbloched characters "Katharine Parnell." Letting the pen fall she sunk oack with a burst of tears.
In the certificate of death, under the head of "cause of death," was written rheumatic fever, five days, liyperpyreria, and failure of heart's action, certified by Fred W. .lowers." The certificate, further specifies that Parnell was •!." years old and had been ill only five days.
Mrs. Parnell cannot go to Ireland for her husband's public funeral, even if she wished to. She is positively prostrated with grief. The poor woman will *t a last glimpse of the dead when the bo iy is removed from the house en route for Dublin. Strictly speaking, she has taken her last look at the body already. Parnell's face is no longer fit to look upon.
Friday morning a Dublin delegation came to llr'ghton to make arrangements for transferring the remains to Dublin for the public funeral Sunday. It consisted of John Clancy, Philip Hynes, Richard McCoy, .John Fergus O'Shea and .Jim O'Kelly. It was the earnest desire of the.eentral executive of th National league that the remains be taken through London on the way to Dublin in order that the Irishmen of London might have a chance for a demonstration. It was decided that no demonstration or ceremonies any kind over Parnell's bier should be held outside of Ireland. "He belong' to Ireland, anil the services over him must be only there."' said a prominent henchman of Parneil. The body will be taken without any ceremony to West Croydon, thence to
Willesden Junction, where it will remain under guard until the" arrival of the (5:30 train from London.
The body will arrive in Dublin Sunday morning and lie in state until 1:30 o'clock, when it will be borne to tllasnevin cemetery with funeral pageantry which will beggar anything of the kind in Ireland since O'Conueli was laid to rest in the same place. The site for the grave selected by Parnell's colleagues is an imposing spot.
Archdeacon (iilbrath, incumbent at Powers'court. Wicklow, has been invited to officiate at Mr. Parnell's funeral, associated with liev. Mr. Frey, of Manchester, who nas offered his services.
The followers of Mr. Timothy Healy have decided not to attend tin* funeral of Mr. Parnell. owing to the threats of personal violence which have been made against them if they put in an appearance during the obsequies at Ulasnevin.
Notwithstanding the threats heard in some quarters that trouble would be likely to ensue if (ytain persons were to attend the funroil, Messrs. Dillon and O'Brien are determined to be present. Leading Parnellites have taken pains to deny the rum irs that they intended violence to any le. iiuiu.iN, Oct. 10.—The city h,i 11 will be draped in black and a handsome catafalque surrounded by strong railings will be erected in front nf the O'Connell monument for the reception of the remains of Parnell. The project of taking a cast of the features has been abandoned owing to the change which lias a ready taken place In the features of the dead man. Thousands of people are flocking to Dublin to attend the funeral and an immense crowd is expected to be present Sunday. All the public houses will be closed while the funeral ceremonies are in progress. The procession will form in Kingstown, where the mail boat from Holyhead will land the casket. From Kingstown die procession will march to the town hall, its different sections Insider I by bands of music with mtillled drums.
Hundreds of towns in Ireland have decided to send delegates to the funeral on Sunday. Dublin is becoming somber with black crape ani" other signs of mourning hung from the. houses. In the streets groups of women weeping for and men discussing the lost leader are common. The women are peculiarly fierce against his enemies, having threatened to mob th''m if they attend the funeral. Manv kinds of labor are suspended and will probably not be resumed until next week, after the funeral.
The McCarthyites expect no difficulty in obtaining early control of the Paris fund. No matter what testamentary disposition has been made of the money, they say, it will not affect the power of Mr. McCarthy in the mutter. As far as known Mr. i'urncil did not leave a will
or a political declaration, lie had no perception of the gravity of his illness or any consciousness of the approach of death.
DUBLIN, Oct. 10.—United Ireland protests against the anti-Parnellites at* tending the obsequies. It says the men who tried to drive T'arnell to the wall ought not to sentimentalize over his grave. "Let them keep their tears for Gladstone," continues the article. "It is the men of Ireland who stand about thq tomb of our chief, and they will guard it. They will not change their opinions, but will fight his cause the more stubbornly, opposing the men who sold him to his enemies and gave into the hands of the English statesman the cause defended by his forefathers."
CORK, Oct 10.—Large sensational posters have been placarded on walls, fences and other places throughout this city. These posters have deep mourning borders and bear in their centers the words:
UUKDERED
I'LEAKK KNGI.1XI1MKN.
Together with verses denouncing the McCarthyites and the United Ireland articles declaring that Parnell was murdered and imploring the people to remain tranquil. The posters are Btirring up much excitement
Dum.i.* Oct 10.—The Freeman's Journal and United Ireland both denounce the sensational placarding at Cork as an attempt to incite disorders and say that the posters are either an incitement to murder, or else that they are without meaning.
HANGING AT OMAHA.
E«I Neiii Sutlers the Death reunify for a Double Murder. OMAHA, Neb., Oct. 10.—Ed Neal, the murderer of Allen and Dorothy Jones. was hung at l'i:04 p. m. Friday in an inclosure built just outside the county jail. Nine-ty-four people witnessed the execution. The condemned man passed a restless night, but he walked to the scaffold without a tremor. There was no hitch in the proceedings, and Neal's neck was broken by the fall, death being instantaneous. The murderer's real name is unknown, and on the scaffold he refused to disclose his identity, although he confessed his crime. [Neul was a cattle-thief and shot the aged couple that be niig'n drive oil their stock at his leisure. The couple were unarmed and incapable of making any resistance. He buried their bodies under a manure pile, where, two days afterwards wheu they were missed, they were discovered by a sqareliitig party. Neal bad relied on the probability that his crime would remain undiscovered longer and liad hardly sold the horses and cows. He had made a display of his money, bought clothes and jewelry and was readily traced to the Kansas
City train. He was arrested a few days later for stealing tattle near Kansas City and was identifie

FiTTSiuiiKiii, l'a.,Oct. 10.—The Oliver & Roberts Wire Company has suspended and asks its creditors for an extension. It is insisted that the suspension is not in any sense a failure—that dollar for dollar can easily be paid by the embarrasssed concern. Several banks have backed the company very heavily, but there appears to be little apprehension that they will suffer severely—if, indeed, they are not fully protected.
