GUTHIIIK, O. T., Sept. '2, —All Sunday the streets were cr .tied with prairie sehoyters, carriages, horsemen and foot passengers, all jammed into a shouting, struggling, hurrying mass, Hundreds of horses were sold on tho streets, and the stores all did a rushing business. Hundreds arrived in wagons aud one train brought fifteen earloads of people. Along the. line of the reservation the scene is an animated one. At the negro settlement of Langston are 'J,000 negroes, all armed and on the road. Scores of negro men, women and children were passed walking the 15 miles to the line. All of these negroes are determined to have a claim or light. At Toliee 5,000 people are encamped and the road to the Kiekapoo reservation is a continual procession for many miles. Kirwin Murray, the Iowa interpreter, states that in the reservation the soldiers are driving out hundreds of sooners. At the county seats the surveyors are at work but cannot finish the. survey before. Friday, liotli county seats are miserably located on rocky, rough ground, with no water near, yet 10,000 people will ride recklessly over 40 miles of country to locate there. On every side of the reservations the line is one continuous camp and the number of people in waiting is fully 30,000.

The publication of another important piece of ofticial information was made Sunday. It was contained in the following telegram from Land Commissioner Carter: "In answer to your dispatch I have to say that settlers can enter '.lie lands from the Kiekapoo reservation."

The Kiekapoo reservation is not included in the lands to be opened to settlement Tuesday, and lies in the very heart ot' those that are to be opened. North of it "is the Iowa reservation. South of it is the Pottawottomie. and east of it the Sac and Fox. This permission will be of immense advantage to the home-seekers, fnr it gives them many more miles of available border •where they may mass for the race.

Much satisfaction is expressed over Secretary Noble's order to the. registers and receivers of the html offices to prevent, so far as may lie in their power, fraud in connection with the tiling of the declaratory statements of old soldiers. The traffic in these declaratory statements has been suspended, the home-seek
