There is a severe penalty for anti-datiug vouchers and the law regarding that matter will be hereafter, most vigorously enforced iu Montgomery county.

Glass Cresting.
Hood Nelson has received a few samples of the new cresting of glass now being manufactured for liiiu at the glass works at Anderson, It makes a very baautiful appearance, aud as to its durability there is no qestion. He will soon be able to lill orders for this new style of cresting, and when placed upon houses it will add inuchto its appearance. He has made a success of his cresting enterprise, and every season increases the supply to meet increasing demand..
Death of Mrs Webster.
Mrs. Aon Webster died at her htuueon south Washington slreet. Thursday afternoon after a lingering illness at the age of Gt year. Mrs. Webster was born in Kentucky on April 25, 18:15, but lias been a resident of Crawfordsville for more than ,'iO years, and has been a consistent member of the Presbyterian church all her life. The funeral will occur from the residence this afternoon at 2 o'ctock, Kev. R. J. Cunningham officiating. Interment at Oak Hill.

H. D. Yancieave, agent for the Phoenix insurance company, last Monday adjusted the loss of Luclnda Bowman whose home near the Pine Hills was partially destroyed by fire a few days ago.
A fire 111 the roof of the house occupied by Mrs, Jacob Metzgar on Morgan street called out the department last Sunday afternoon. Prompt actiou saved the residence. The loss was about $50.
T. N. Lucas aud McL. Wasson, of Russellville, and a number of Frankfort capitalists have organized what is to be known 1 the Clinton county bank of Frankfort. Mr. Lucas is to be cashier.
The "Ground Hog" club is in camp at I'ine Hills. The gang is composed of Will Johnson, Howard Sideuer, Paul Myers, "Face" Wallace, Howard Henry and Everett KItzroth. The boys report a great time.
Last Monday the couuty comnustiouers awarded the contract for constructing the College street bridge to the Cauton bridge company of Canton, 0., for $2,100. It is to have a 100 foot span aud a 10 foot roadway.
The choir boys of St. John's Episcopal church are camping out this week at Clark's dam. The party consists of Rev. A. K. Glover, Bert Webster, Harry and George Sargent, Richard Schweitzer, Albert Wasson, Watson Vance and Bertie Fryer.
In the widow of Poutious A- Lacey's book store is a beautiful and natural landscape oil painting representing a view looking south from Oak Hill cemetery, from the pencil of Imogene Brown of this city. It is gem indeed and reflects much credit 011 the artist.

Mr.j White N 71 jears of age while the bride is only his junior by a few moons. Both' are quite well known here, Mr. Whit*- having been raised near Whitestiiie, iu this county, removing from there to California only a few years age, Mr. and Sirs. White are now on short visit at Whitesvihe but will soon take the train for their home in the tar west.
The Good Work Going On.
Mr. McAlvey, or Indianapolis, lias completed the purchase of the right or way for the new gas line from this city to Sheridan. The pipes have also been purchased and (he work of digging 11m trenches wih begin about one week from next Monday. Crawrordsville will be hca'.ed by gas ere the snow of next winter begins to fly.
