It* strengthens the vocal organs, allays irritation, and prevents the inroads of Consumption iu every stage of that d,re ad disease, Ayer's Cherry Pectoral relieves coughing and in a 'refreshing rest.
"I have used Ayer's Cherry Pectoral in my family for thirty years and have always found it the best remedy for croup, to which complaint my children have been subject."—Capt. U. Car ley, Brooklyn, N. Y. "From an experience of over thirty years in the. safe of proprietary medloines, I feel justified in recommending Ayer's Cherry Pectoral. One of the best recommendations of the Pectoral is ttie enduring quality of its popularity, it being more salable now than it was twenty-five years ago, when its great success was considered marvelous."1— R. S. Drake, M. D., Beliot, Kans. "My little sister, four years of age, was so ill from bronchitis that we had almost given up hope of her recovery. Our family physician, a skilful man and of large experience, pronounced it useless to give her any more medicine saying that he had done all it was possible to do, and we must prepare for the werst. As a last resort, we determined to try Ayer's Cherry Pectoral, and I can truly say,.with the most happy results. After taking a few doses she seemed to breathe easier, and, within a week, was out of danger. We continued giving the Pectoral until satisfied she was entirely well. This has given me unbounded faith in the preparation, and I recommend it confidently to my customers."—C. O. Lepper, Druggist, Fort "Wayne, Ind..

"A RACE WITH. DEATH 1" Among the nameless heroes, none are more worthy of martyrdom than he who rode down the valley of the Conemaugh, warning the people ahead of the Johnstown flood. Mounted on a powerful horse, faster and faster weut the rider, but the flood was swiftly gaining, until it caught the unlucky horseman and swept on, grinding, crushing, annihilating both weak and strong.
In the same way is disease lurking near, like unto the sword of Damocles, ready to fall, without warning, oil its victim, who allows his system to be-' come clogged up, and his blood poisoned, and thereby his health endangered. To eradicate these poisons from the system, no matter what their name or nature, and save yourself a spell of malarial, typhoid or bilious fever, or eruptious, swellings, tumors and kindred disfigurements, keep the liver and kklnevs healthy and vigorous, by the use or Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery. In your throat, which makes you cough onse awhile and keeps you constantly clearing your throat, arises from catarrh, and as a catarrh is a constitutional disease the ordinary cough medicines ail fail to hit the spot. What you need is a constitutional remedy like Hood's Sarsaparilla. Many people who have taken this medicine for scrofula, dyspepsia, loss of appetite, and other troubles, have been surprised that it should cure this troublesome congh. But to know the actual cause of the cough is to solve the mistery. Many cases of consumption can be traced back to the neglect of some such slight affection as this. Consumption can be controlled in its early stages, and the effect of Hood's Sarsaparilla in purifying the blood, building up the general health, and expelling the scrofulous taint which is the cause of catarrh and consumption, has restored to perfect health many persons on whom this dreaded disease seemed to have a firm hold.

It very liable to follow contract of||the hands or face with what is known as poison ivy especially iu hot weather or if the||body is perspiring freely. Tbe!trouble may, subside for a time, only to appear in aggravated form when opportunity offers. Thejgreat purifying powers ot Hood's Sarsaparilla thoroughly eradicate every trace of poison^from the blood, as the cures it has accomplished conclusively show. It also cures scrofula,{salt rheum, and allother affections arisingJfrom itrp'ire or poisoned blood.
