Scores of lives art saved.every year by its timely use.
Amanda B. Jenner, Northampton, Mass., writes Common gratitude im» rjels me to acknowledge the great benelits I have derived for my children from the use of Ayer's most excellent Cherry Pectoral. I had lost two dear children, from croup and consumption, and had the greatest fear of losing my only remaining daughter and son, as they were delicate. Happily, I find that by giving them Ayer's Cherry Pectoral, on the first symptoms of throat or lung trouble, they are relieved from danger, and are be« Coining robust, healthy children." "In the winter of 1885 I took a bad cold which, in spite of every known remedy, grew worse, so that the family physician considered me incurable, supposing me to be in consumption. As a last resort I tried Ayer's Cherry Pectoral, and, in a short time, the cure was complete. Since then I have never been without this medicine. I am fifty years of age, weigh over 180 pounds, and attribute my good health to the use of Ayor's Cherry Pectoral."—G.W.Youker, Salem, N. J. "Last winter I contracted a severs cold, which by repeated exposure, bocame quite obstinate. I was much troubled with hoarseness and bronchial irritation. After trying various medicines, without relief, I at last purchased a bottle of Ayer's Cherry Pectoral. On taking this mediciae, my cough ceased almost immediately, and I have been well ever since."—Rev. Thos. B. Russell, Secretary Holston Conference and P. E. of the Greenville District, M. E. Moving Into Indiana.
The details of an immense deal in deal estate by the great packing firm of Armour & Co, Swift A Co., and Morris & Co., of Chicago, were made public this week. They have purchased 3.600 acres of land at the southern end of Lake Michigan in Lake county, Indiana, and will remove their immense plants to th'kt point, where they will establish a vast manufacturing center. The business of these three firms alone amounts to about $150,000,000 per annum, and it is estimated that they, with others in the same and similar lines of business who will be drawn there, will, within the next five years, gather at that point a population of 150,003 souls. The Calumet river runs through the heart of the tract and will furnish vast dockage facilities in direct connection With Lake Michigan, whicfi is one of the special advantages sought by the projectors of the enterprise, while at the same time the railroad facilities are perfect.

Some very laughable instances grow out of a confusiou of names, as was demonstrated last Saturday. Some resident female admirer of Rev. Fred Pettit, called in a street arab and instructed the boy to convey a very beautiful bequet of cbryauthemuins to "Mr. Pettit," as she stated. Now, there is a certain Bob Pettit who tends bar for George Fitchey under the Nutt Hotel, but is no relative to the reverend gentleman, and the boy quickly delivered his parcel to Bob with the lady's compliments. Bob was overwhelmed with gratitude for the kind donor, not thinking to look at the address until Monday meruing when he discovered the mistaken The lady's token of infatuation now adorns the bar of the Nutt Hotel saloon, which fact the lady will not know until she sees this week's REVIKW. v5*
