A Fact
WORTHwhichall
knowing is that blood dis.
cases other remedies fail t* cure, yield to Ayer's Sarsaparilla. Fresh confirmation of this statement comes to hand daily. Even such deep-seated and stubborn complaints as Rheumatism, Rheumatic Gout, and tho like, are thoroughly eradicated by the use of this wonderful alterative.
Mrs. R. Irving Dodge, 110 West 125th street, New York, certifies
About two years ago, after suffering for nearly two years from rheumatic gout, being able to walk only with great discomfort, and having tried various remedies, including mineral waters, without relief, I saw by an advertisement in a Chicago paper that a man had been relieved of this distressing complaint, after long suffering, by taking Ayer's Sarsaparilla. I then decided to make a trial of this medicine, and took it regularly for eight months. I am pleased to say that it effected a .complete cure, and that I have since had no return of the disease."
Mrs. L. A. Stark, Nashua, N. H., writes: "One year ago I was taken ill with rheumatism, being confined to my house six months. I came out of the sickness very much debilitated, with no appetite, and my system disordered in every way. I commenced to use Ayer's Sarsaparilla and began to improve at once, gaining in strength and soon recovering my usual health. 'I cannot say too much in praise of this well-known medicine." "I have takan a great deal of medicine, but nothing lias done me so much good as Ayer's Sarsaparilla. I felt its beneficial effects before I had quite finished one bottle, and I cau freely testify that it is the best bloodmedicine I know of." —L. W. Ward, Sr., Woodland, Texas.

Republican Proscription.
Recent developments in Haddock Lodge, Independent Order of Good Templars of this city, reveal the true attitude of the average republican respecting the temperance question. Drs. J, R. Etter and T. J. Griffith with John Corbin are pronounced prohibitionists and it seems that their presence in the lodge inflamed the republican spirit as does a red flag shaken in the face of a Spanish bull, and they were made to feel that they were not welcome. Dr. Griffith had loaned the lodge money on eepar ate occasions and had taken vouchers from the lodge for its payment, some of which had been paid. Tbe Dr. was also one of tbe trustees of tbe lodge. A bright scheme was concocted to beat him out of his loans and get rid of him and this is how tbey played it: The other two trustees, George Kepler and T. G. Collins, secretly, and without authority from the lodge, gave Wm. H. Steele, Z. M. Ball and Charles Huffman a mortgage upon the carpet and tbe whole lodge outfit for claims never allowed by tbe lodge and false In amount, thus trifling away the individual interest of every member of tbe lodge. Griffith, getting wind of it, promptly brought them before his honor, Judge Cbnmasero, where they paid his claim and
and were glad to get off so well. It Is well known that the rye-republicans hate a prohibitionist more than they do a saloon. No prohib need apply for membership in Haddock.
Bidicuious Falsehood.
Some oue, no doubt, with the intention of injuring Mr. John Bible's prospects at the ensuing fall election has circulated the ridiculous lie, that he had stated during the late canvass for nomination for sheriff, that Mr. John Williams, of New Market, who was also an aspirant for the same position, had been a soldier of the Confederate army. Mr. B. pronounces the statement utterly false iu every respect, and has not made any remarks derogatory to
Mr. Williams at any time, and will give $100 to to any one who will prove that he uttered any such thing.
Arrested For Grave Robbery.
A young medical student was arrested at Greencastle on Saturday morning at the old cemetery on a charge of grave robbery. The tramp who was killed by the cars at the Yaudalia depot Wednesday was not claimed, and the coroner buried the body without learning who be was, and this young man, who gave his name as Ira Insley, was after the body. He was recognized for his appearance at the circuit court by the mayor. George Earns, of Terre Haute, came over and defended him.

A prize llag valued at $15 will be given the largest delegation of ladies and gentlemen on horseback from outside of Union township. A $15 prize flag will be given to tbe G. A. R. Post (McPherson Post excepted) bringing the largest number ot soldiers. The flags can be seen at Ed Van Camp's shoe store.
AVoalc Women,
Tbe more sensitive nature of the female sex renders women much more susceptible than men to those numerous ills which spring from lack of harmony iu the system. Tbe nervous system gives way, sick headache is frequent, ihe appetite is lost, and other ailments peculiar to tbe sex cause great suffering. Hood's Sarsaparilla is peculiarly adaoted for such cases, and has received tti« most gratifying praise for tbe relief it has afforded thousands of women whose very existence before taking it, was only misery. It strengthens tho nerves, cures sick headache and indigestion, purifies and vitalizes the blood, and gives regular aud healthy action to every organ in the body.
