The talk of buying a fire engine for our village, we presume, will all end in sinoke, as usual. The loss from the two last fires would have bought the best engine on the market of the hand engines and the way our town is located, should a fire break out in a certain quarter, it would make a clean sweep. A good engine is for sale in Lafayette at half cost price that would just suit us.
