I11 Brownsvalley a few days ago a regular knock down occurred, aud all on account of a little rabbit which came down the maiu thoroughfare of that thriving city. Oue of our Hog Heaven friends, W. J. Snyder, happened to be in the place at the time and saw it all. Twenty-seven shots were fired at the rabbit with revolvers, none of thein taking effect. One fellow got his shot-gun, and advancing within five yards of the cotton tail, took deliberate aim aud fired, and—off ran the rabbit. They gave him the horse laugh, which made him angry, and he wanted to fight. He was accommodated, and received a. black ey.i. Equal to Jackville.

A gentleman who formerly lived iu this place was seen taking wood from a wood pile that did not belong to him. This chap, we are glad to say, is now a resident of another town.

Protracted meetiug at the Campbollite church has been running for some time, and nil to this time no one has joined. The revival last winter caught all who could join the church, and as a consequence there is no timber left to work 011, aud it is entirely too soon for repeuters to repeat. •. t.
Wm. Campbell started his Y. M. C. A. pool room last week. He also keeps a full line of confectioneries, tobacco, and cigars, lunch, etc. He wishes all readers of THE REVIEW to try his 15-cent coal oil. We are sorry to say that after years of honesty we have a thief, and, it is generally supposed, a couple of them iu our village. Several articles of value lmvd been stolen within the last few days, and valuables left iu buggies in the street are sure to be lost. They are also making raids on smoke houses and wood piles.
Two and a half miles uortli of this place there is a line of rocks runuing from the southeast to the northwest, more east than south, aud a gentleman here a few days ago said the same liue run fr»m ocean to ocean. He also said that where gas wells had been bored any where near this ridge gas in abundance bad been found. He is sure this place could have gas and not go deep either.
We are opposed to this meetiug in the school house it haying been built by taxation. However We suggest that those who want a place to meet either build it or uot have meetings. The school house was built for school aloue, and when certain people try to make a public hall of It, we say it is not right. If one party is allowed the use of it, allow all to use it who wishes to.:
