Quite a large audience greeted Miss Estelle Clayton in her new play, "On the Hudson," at Masonic Temple Theater last night. Miss Clayton has always been a favorite in Louisville, and tho newspapers, here, and especially The Post, are in a measure responsible for starting her boom as a professional beauty. Not that such rare personal charms as Miss Clayton's had remained unnoticed, but the enthusiastic public notice of them made the people more appreciative and started the talk. As an actress Miss Clayton is exceedingly graceful and attractive. For society parts she Is eapecially fitted. Her expressive face and remarkable beauty never fail to charm. In the new play, "On the Hudson," she finds in the part of Grace Delmar a role that suits her throughout—Louisville Daily Post, October 18,1889.
