H. T. Davis is in Missouri. Miss Dora Burton is home for the holidays. Mrs. C. M. Lemon and children are visiting in Kentucky.
W. H. Hostetter i9 moving into his new house in Riverdale.
There will be services at the Presbyterian and Christian churches. Ben Williams new barn is completed and is one of the most tasty in town.
Rev. J. M. Kendall and wife, of Brown's Valley are visiting relatives here. Win. Maban, who has been visiting Dr. J. B, Wilson, has returned to Lebanon.
John Neff expects to build on his lot in the spring. He is putting up a small barn now.
Misses Eva Miller, Anna Lawhou and Dora Burton spent last Saturday in Crawfordsville. The first quarterly meeting of M. E. circuit will beheld next Saturday and Sunday at Raccoon.
Mollie Widdop entertained friends quite pleasantly Wednesday night, with progressive euchre.
There will be the usual exodus to Florida this winter. Already several of the boys are making arrangements to go.
The meeting of tlio Christian church closed last week. They had good attendance and several persons suited with the church.
The lecture by Mrs Helen Gougar at Normal hall was well attended and she discussed the prohibition question in an able manner, though it was rough on the old parties.
Every democrat in Clark township should take the REVIEW for the coming year. It will be one of great interest in local affairs and a great part of the success depends upon the county organ. Leave your name with the agent and aid in making THE REVIEW second to none.

Wm. Miles and Jos. Eads went to Illinois last week to buy timber. Henry Williams has moved back to Brown's Valley. He does not like Ladoga.
Lawrence & Allen shipped two car loads of hogs and cattle to Buffalo this week. Uncle Mat Vancleave, of Crawfordsville, and his son Samuel and wife, of Kansas City, Mo., visited Aunt Ruth Todd last week.
The teachers of this township organized a lecture course last Saturday at the institute, and will furnish the people some excellent instructive entertainments during the winter.
Our school is progressing nicely. The following pupils were neither tardy nor absent last month: Room 1, Minnie Galey, Ora Daily, Ira Sharpe, Bert Allen, Bessie Olinger, Manda Daily, Roy Sharpe, Albert Miles. Room 2, Stella Olinger, Dora Lydick, Maud Allen, Lillie Miles, Delilah Gott, Jessie Olinger, Willie At leu, Willie Todd.

Frank Linn has goue to New Richmond to stay all winter. School progressing nicely with Mr. Miller and wife as teachers.
Perry Hatt was here Wednesday selling groceries for Hadley & King. Kise «fc Hipes will put put up ice this winter They believe iu keeping cool.
Theodore Johnson got a buggy wheel broken all to pieces while coming from meeting Sunday night.
The detectives met Saturday and as it was election of officers they hud a larger meeting than common.
Protracted meeting at the chapel largely attended. Rev. Passage and Philips preach eloudeut sermons and interest all present.
We are glad to see items from all over the couuty in the REVIEW for it teaches us that the people are taking interest in the paper and why not for ^t is the best one published in the county.

Health good, The farmers, have gathered about all their corn.
E. Harney shipped a car load of hogs the latter part of the week, which makes somewhere near 20 loads shipped from this place within the last week.
Probably some of my old neighbors would like to know where my home is. It is in the swamps, my nest is in the skies, so some day wheu you are passing stop and give me a call.
This place with the rest of the world has its ups aud downs and scandals. Some people think that everything they hear is the truth, aud if they thought it was not they would try to make it so.
The store man from Darlington said we had four fights at his writing, and there was blood on the moon. Now we think he has enough to do to attend to his own town, as it is larger aud contains more people.
Allen Peters, living east of Culver's Station in Tippecanoe county, had a horse bitten by a mad dog a few days ago. The horse has since taken hydrophobia and has bitten another horse, some hogs, and one of the children. They are trying to save the child by giving it tea of a weed called mad-weed. Up to this time we have not heard the result.
We were shown the largo selection of new Rockford movement at C. L. Rost's, 207 East Main street, for which he is sole agent.

Mrs. Stout and Mrs. Houlehau, of Craw fordsville, took dinner with James Mclntire last Friday. There was everything to eat that stomach could want except butter. They paralyzed five loaves of bread, four chickens, ten gallons of molasses, two bushels of Bweet potatoes and other articles too numerous to mention. No one miBsed the butter but Mrs, H., and she asked for it. That takes gall, don't it?
The Journal correspondent has left for parts unknown, We have no respect for such cow' ards. You see how quick he stopped when I challenged him for a duel. He knew that when I challenged him I meant business. He may have gono west to join the cowboys to learn some trick, which will make it all the easier for me to kill him. I would like to meet some one near my equal, but the man don't live who can stand before me with corn knives to the death.
Ed Truas was in the Athens Wednesday. J. P. Wirt went to Indianapolis Tuesday. A wedding is talked of soon in our town. E. A. McSpadden is clerking for Mitchel Co.

Norace Tucker and Tom Little spent Mon day in New Market. Preach at the Christian church Saturday and Suuday by Rev. Jackman.
Misses Sue and Ida Dennian spent a day with their sister this week. Mrs. Mollie Clark is sick at this time, but is better than she has been.
Sam Fishero and family, of Minnesota, are visiting Mr. F's father here. Our school'is progressing fine. We have the best corps of teachers in the township.
J. H. Mitchel and N. W. Myers were out quail hunting Saturday at Sam Livengood's, A gravel road election in town Friday. Moral—Yountsville no toll roads, Alamo a toll road.
Misses Eva Love and Fannie Thompson, of Yountsville, spent Sundaj^th Miss Lou Smith.
Jim Slack, of Rockville, and an old veteran aud comrade of R. S. Bell has been making Mr. Bell a pleasant visit for a few days this week.
