tlio "ideal" Hair-dressing. It, re. the color to gray hair promotes a fresh aud vigorous growth prevents the formation of dandruff makes the hair soft and silken and imparts a delicate but lasting perfume. 'Several months 'ago my hair commenced falling out, and in a few weeks mv head was almost bald. I tried many remedies, but they did*no good. I finally bought a bottle of Ayer's Hair Vigor, and, after using, only a part of the contents, my head was covered with a heavy growth of hair. I recommend your preparation as the best in the world."—T. Munday, Sharon Grove, Ky.

ray, its vigorous growth, and the scalp white and clean." Mary A. Jackson, Salem, Mass. "I have used Ayer's Hair Vigor for promoting the growth of the hair, and think it unequaled. For restoring the hair to its original color, and for a dressing, it cannot be surpassed."—Mrs. Geo. La Fever, Eaton Rapids, Mich. "Ayer's Hair Vigor is a most excellent preparation for the hair. I speak sf it from my own experience. Its use promotes the growth of new hair and makes it glossy and soft. The Vigor is also a cure for dandruff—J. W. Bowen, Editor "Enquirer," McArthur, Ohio.
I have used Ayer's Hair Vigor for the past two years, and found it all it is represented to be. It restores the natural color to gray, hair, causes the hair to grow freely, and keeps it soft and pliant."—Mrs. M. V. Day, Cohoes, N. Y.
My father, at about the age of fifty, lost all the hair from the top ot his head. After one month's trial of Ayer's Hair Vigor the hair began coming, and, in three months, he had a fine growth of ,hair of the natural color."—P. J. Cullen,

Are predicted with reliable accuracy, and people liable to the pains and aches of rheumatism dread every change to damp and stormy weather. Although Hood's Sarsaparilla is not claimed to be a positive specific forrheumaUm, the remarkable cures it has effected show that it may be taken for tb complaint with reasonable certainty, of benefit. Its acting in neutralizing the acidity of the blood, which is the cause of rheumatism- constitutes the secret of the success of Hood's Sarsaparilla. Mrs. Geo. P. Smoote, a highly cultivated and estimable lady of Prescott, Ark., writes under date of April 22, 1889: "During the summer of 1887 my eyes became inflamed, aud iuy stomach and liver almost hopelessly disordered. Nothing I ate agreed witb me. I took chronic dlrrboea, and for pome time my life was despaired of by my family. The leading physicians of the country were consulted, and the medicines administered by them never did any permanent good, aud I lingered between l'fe and death the latter being preferable to the agonies I was endunug. In May 1888, I become disgusted with physicians aud their medicines, I dropped them all, and depended solely on Swift's Specific (SSS,) a few bottles of which made be permanently well—well from then until now."

A Lady's Perfect Companion. Our new book by Dr. John H. Dye, one of New York's most skillful physicians, shows* that pain is not necessary in childbirth, but results from causes easily understood and overcome. It clearly proves that any woman may become a mother without suffering any pain whatever. It also tells how to overcome and prevent morning sickness and the many other evils attending pergnancy. It is highly enlorsed by physicians everywhere as the wife's rue companion. Cut this out: it will save you great pain, and possibly your life. The Origin of Ammonia. Several Crestou housekeepers, since the departure of the •unale baking powder agents, have repeats the test performed by the girls, handling the cans and glasses themselves, and have failed to detect the sinell of ammonia, or the presence of lime in their old favorite brand, the Royal, as the girls did. Can it be possible those sweet girls, in Iho interst of humanity, would "salt" the Royal with a little drug? Try the trick yourself, hut try a fresh can, for fear your old one is not "pure." If the girls had hold of it something might accidentiy have dropped from under their fiugernails into the can.— C^tston, la., Gazette.
THE CRAWFORDSVILLE WEEKLY REVIEW
From an examination of the so-called tests of these or similar parties in this place, it appears that they aro mere tricks. Ail effort is made to destroy the baking powder found in the home, and to get an order for that which they are peddling. The samples of their own powder used for comparative tests are found by chemical analysis to have been prepared esepeciallyfor the purpose. They are none of them pure. The method adopted by these testers to goods by circulating filthy storieppalpably absurd, against a baking powcer welt known to be pure aud wholesome, is sufficient evidence of the character of themselves and their goods to induce consumers to let them pass.
