Rev. Kew returned home Friday from Autioch, 111., where he has just concluded a successful series of revival meetings.

Willie Moore, who has been quite sick, is reported to be some better. Misses Emma Yancleave and Effie Alexander and Dr. Olin joined the Teachers' Reading Circle.
The next township Institute of tuis township will be held December 14, at Oakland school house.
The teacher and pupils of Oakland school visited Round Hill school on Friday afternoon of last week. They report that they had a good time.
We would like to know If bologna sausage ever causes intoxication. A certain individual of this community claims to have bought some at Waynetown that produced such a result.
Clarence, when you come in from the east late at night, if you should, when passing through the village, hear strange sounds somewhat like the bellowing of a dying calf, do not be alarmed, for it is only Everett practicing on his cornet.

While hunting Monday Henry Dice met with a very serious accident by having a charge of powder shot in his face. He had just shot and was putting powder in for another load when it went off, lodging in his face and eyes. At this writing it is not known what the result will be, but bad enough at the least.

Farmers of Montgomery county, how do you like these good old Harrison times, when you can only get 60 per cent, of what you got last year for your hogs? Prices on other productions show a decrease of from 25 to 40 per cent., but still you will vote that way. Let us arise In our might in 1892 and vote down all the monopolies that are robbing the people. Shake off that partisan affinity and vote for the interests of the laboring man.

B. F. Williams is at work on anew barn on his lot. Last week the normal opened with full attendance.
David Sutherlin, of New Maysvilie, was in town Saturday. Dick Lollis has moved into his property on Franklin street
Miss Anna Piukston goes this week to Tennessee to visit relatives. The show which was billed for Wednesday failed to put in an appearance.
The new store under the management of Bob Wilson geta a share of the trade. The town has been thoroughly canvassed by ladies representing Price's baking powder.
Miss Belle Fisher who has been visiting her sister Mrs. Anderson, returned home Saturday.
Ed. Ashley looked after business Interests in Indianapolis last week for the firm of Reed & Ashley.
The Btores are beginning to display holiday goods. The drug stores especially show fine windows.
The meeting at the Baptist church continues. There have been nine accessions to the church.
Mrs. F. M. Vawter has returned to- her home at Kokomo, accompanied by her mother Mrs. H. A Miller.
Saturday was a busy day with our merchants. Surely trade is improving with so many busy Saturdays.
Rev. Fuson was called home a few days, and during hip absence the pulpit was filled by Rev. McCalip, of Kew Market.
In a wreck on the Midland, Friday night, F. M. Dicks was severely injured and rendered unconscious. He is improving.
Last Friday morning the large barn and lumber yard

almost entirely burned. The
engine and bucket brigade saved the adjoining barns and houses. There was $200 insurance which will very near cover the loss.

Billy Vlers is building a new barn with Walker Boraker as foreman. Our Sunday school is progressing nicely with Allen Coon as Superintendant.
Doc. Viers talks of quitting the farm in the spring and practicing medicine. Next Sunday at eleven o'clock is Rev. A. M. Snyder's at apointment Mt. Zion.
Alcano Boraker is the happiest man on the creek, all on account of the arrival of a new boy at his house.
There was a great deal of grumbling on the creek last Sunday on account of the rain. No visiting but "chaw" the same old grub. "Bill Snyder is looking after the interest of the Review in this neighborhood. Give him your name and you will never regret it.

Frank Leet has one hundred saw logs cut and ready to hual to New Richmond. Farmers in this neighborhood expect to gather but little over half a crop of corn.
James Alexander attended the party at Red Snyder's last Friday night and reports a crand time.
Geo. Clough has again commenced buying hogs and pays the highest market price for them.
Paris Kenyon and brother are doing the carpenter work on the new house belonging to Mr. Pedro.
Quails and rabbits are plenty but no hunting allowed without permission from the owner of the farm,

Miss Mattie Hanna has sold her farm of 100 acres to S. B. Grove, of Gooseniple, and will give possession the first of March. Mr. Grove is a nice gentleman and will be liked by all his neighbors.

The ex-school teacher who got drunk and went to the institute at New Richmond and vomited all over the floor should have some respect for his brother and sister teachers if he has none for himself:
