A fortune Looked For.

Mathew Brandeuberg, a gentleman humble circumstances in this city, it is reported will soon come into possession of the sum of $300,000, from au estate in Germany. We use the words, "it is said," as we know nothing only from rumor. There is generally more romance thau reality, about reported large fortunes being left to this or that person. Mathew will be surprised to find how many friends he has—if he gets this big sum of money. They will favor around him rapidly. He will be invited out to dine. People will bow to him at every corner. He will be Mr. Branden berg, not "old Brandenberg," as now. In fact he will marvel at the worship bestowed upon him—if he gets that $300,000. That is the way the world has in doing. It is the money. Nothing else is taken into consideration.

Muddle Over a Trustee.

The township trustee business in Lafayette is growing complicated. The commissioners Saturday elected George Harrison to fill the vacancy caused by the removal of J, W. Conine. The democrats claim that under sec. 5,996 of the statue (the board having met in special session) the auditor is empowered to appoint a trustee when a vacancy occurs. The present auditor is a democrat, and he promptly appointed Walter Ball, a democrat. The bond of the latter was approved, and that of Harrison rejected. Both Harrison and Ball demanded the books and papers of Conine, the deposed trustee, and both were refused.

The World Moves.

Don't di9guest everybody with the offensive odor from your catarrh just because some old fogy doctor, who lias not discovered aud will not nelieve that the world moves, tells you it cannot be cured. The manufacturers of Dr. Sage's Catarrh Remedy have for many years offered in good faith. $500 reward for a case of nasal catarrh, no matter how bad, or how long standing, which they cannot cure. They are thoroughly responsible financially, as any one can learn by proper inquiry through druggists who sell the medicine at only 50 cents, and they "mean business."

The trade is simply enormous in this very valuable article from the fact that it always cures aud never disappoints. Coughs, colds, asthma, bronchitis, croup, and all throat and lung diseases quickly cured. You can test it before buying by getting a trial bottle free, large size $1. Every bottle warranted.

Scrofula in Children

The following is taken from a letter written under date of July 1,1889, by Mrs. Ruth Berkley, a most charitable and Christian Duly, of Salina, Kau.: "In the early part of 1887 scrofula appeared on the bead of my little grandchild, theu only eighteen months old. Shortly after breaking out it spread rapidly all over her body. The scabs on the sore? would peal off on tho slightest touch, and the oder that would arise would make the atmosphere of the room sickening and unbreathable. The disease next attacked the eyes and we feared she would lose the sight. Kuiinent physicians from the surrounding country were consulted, but could do nothing to^Neve the little innocent, and gave it as their opinion, 'llint the case was hopeless and impossible to save the child's eyesight.' It was theu that we decided to try Swift's Specific (SSS.) That medicine at once made a speedy and complete cure. For more than a year past aha has been as healthy as any child in the land."

My daughter, twelve years old, had been afflicted for several months with Chorea or St. Vitus's Dance. She was reduced to a skeleton, could not walk, could not talk, could not swallow anything but milk. I had to handle her like an infant. Doctor aud neighbors gave her up. I commenced giving her the South American Nervine Tonic the effects were very surprising. In three days she was rid of the nervousness, and rapidly improved. Four bottles cured her completely. I think the South American Nervine the grandest remedy ever discovered, and would recommend it to everyone. Mas. W. S. ENSMINGEK. Stale of Indiana, 1,,.

NERVOUS DISEASES.

As a cure for every class of Nervous Diseases, no remedy has been able to compare with the Nervine Tonic, which is very pleasant and harmless in all its effects upon the youngest child or the oldest and most delicate individual. Nine-tenths of all the ailments to which the human, family is heir, are dependent on nervous exhaustion and impaired digestion. When there is an insufficient supply of nerve food in the blood, a general state of debility of the brain, spinal marrow and nerves is the result. Starved nerves, like starved muscles, become strong when the right kind of food is supplied, and a thousand weaknesses and ailments disappear as the nerves recover. As the nervous system must supply all the power by -which the vital forces of the body are carried on, it is the first to suffer for want of perfect nutrition. Ordinary food does not contain a sufficient quantity of the kind of nutriment necessary to repair the wear our present mode ot living and labor imposes upon the nerves. For this reason it becomes necessary that a nerve food be supplied. This recent production, of the South American Continent has been found, by analysis, to contain, the essential elements out of which nerve tissue is formed. This accounts for its magic power to cure all forms of nervous derangements.

Mr. Solomon Bond, a member of the Society of Friends, of Darlington, Intl., Bays: "I have used twelve bottles of The Great South American Nervine

There is no case of unmaligmmt disease of the stomacli which can resist the wonderful curative powers ol" the South American Nervine Tonic.

Harriet E. Ilall, of Waynetown, Ind., says: "I owe my life to The Great South American Nervine. I had been in bed for five months from the effects of an exhausted Stomach, Indigestion, Nervous Prostration and a general shattered condition of my whole system.
